Got those figures after doing the charge/discharge cycle, before doing that, the figures were completely off, stating 25wH left in the battery, and the battery would read 100% but keep charging, or read 3% remaining and still run for 30 minutes. Yea, my current capacity (according to the battery gau...

T23 Battery Recelling FYI (images)
Just finished recelling the battery for my t23 (pretty much dead, 100+ cycles, built 2003, would charge to 100%, and discharge within minutes) This is just some general info on what I did with the usual warning that if youre not completely sure what youre doing, .... don't do it... and I take no res...

likely an isolated incident, but an easyserv horror story
This is probably an isolated incident of a bad tech who screwed up, and was lazy. Long story short, my t43 was returned to me with stripped screw holes, and scotch tape wrapped around the threads to hold it in. So if anyone sends in their machine to easyserv, they might wanna check the workmanship c...

accessing password protected TP drive over usb?
I currently have my t43 harddrive in an usb enclosure while my t43 is at easyserv. Is there anyway to actually open the harddrive on a another computer? When i hook up the drive to other computers, they recognize a usb mass storage device but it doesnt show up as a drive in my computer, I'm assuming...

flickering battery indicator? bad psu?
Does anyone else have a flickering battery indicator on their t43? I remember it is usually a steady green or orange depending on if its plugged in or not. Mines flickering and I'm trying to figure out if it means theres something wrong? (my computer is currently freezing up in windows and the bios,...

enabling fingerprint login and usb power surge issues
I'm not sure why, but recently my t43 has been booting up to the normal windows logon screen, The thinkpad asks for my finger print for the bios and hd log in, but the windows one is gone. Any tips or suggestions on the settings or program to run to get it back? Also recently Ive been getting errors...

hottest part of your t43?
Anyone ever notice what part of their laptop gets the hottest?
my 14.1 t43 (undervolted and using wireless) is fine all over the bottom except for directly under the touchpad, which is way to hot for my liking
Thanks

Is it a new battery? Did you check the power settings? (power manager, battery maintenance) Theres some different settings there, fully charge, optimize, and custom (I actually have mine set to start charging below 92% and stop at 95%) my guess is, if its an older battery, and its always stuck at 99...

I can't find the mAh for the ultrabay slim on lenovos site, but then again im stupid, some websites list it as 1.5 aH but most pictures I've seen theyre labeled 2.2Ah Norma...

woot! finally got new t43 - couple questions and my thoughts
Finally got my 2687dsu, ($1611 epp) took about a month couple questions: does that sticker on the lid come off easily? They include a hex screw for the ultrabay slim, do I need to worry about the bay getting stolen? (Have a lock and no I don't plan on just leaving it somewhere unattended if at all p...
