Back lit keyboard hack ideas?

Tried to replace my non backlit keyboard on my Ideapad P500 with a backlit keyboard I recently purchased. This model came both ways. There is a separate ribbon on the backlit board for power, so I also replaced the CD/DVD connector board where that power supply connects to as mine did not come with ...

Re: Power management update for ThinkPads (from MS)

I really miss the Thinkvantage battery management feature I once had on my T61 when it had Win 7 on it. Now that I have 8.1 installed it's gone.

I really liked it.

Re: Temperature Problem T43

Knowing what I know about oil and oil viscosity, I think your animal fat would be too thick to allow that tiny little fan to run efficiently off of the tiny little push it gets from the battery. RealBlackStuff is right, you need a super thin oil. I'm a dog groomer by trade and the oil we use to lubr...

Looking for some options for either a sleeve or a laptop "bag" for the T61 with the 9 cell battery.

Any good leads?

Double side by side finger swipe?

Sounds like a racy title...sorry. :D On my Ideapad P500 running Windows 8.1, I have the ability to do that double finger side by side scroll thing on the trackpad which scrolls the page up or down. I really like the feature but can't figure out if I can get it on the ol' T61 that is also running Win...

The table is an old 1930's oak drafting table I bought 15 years ago. The lamp is a 1960ish swing arm drafting lamp I picked up at an abandoned American Express office shortly after 9/11. (its a long story).

Props to Tuus. Tuss was very friendly and informative in answering all my questions and even making recommendations.

Ordered a T7700 from Tuus and it arrived speedily and in one piece.

It's now installed and works great!

Using the internal DVD/CD drive externally.

Now that I have another HD installed in the T61 Ultrabay, I'm out a DVD/CD bay. I was going to buy an external player/burner, but somewhere on here I think I saw a photo of someone using their drive removed from the computer and laying on the table next to it with a cable coonected to it and running...

Differentiating the SSD and the HD?

I feel like an idiot for asking, it seems like there's such a simple answer to it, but now that the SSD and extra HD are installed, how do I get all downloaded content to automatically go to the HD? I'm only seeing the option of going to the C drive (the SSD). Is there a way also to re-route the lib...
