Re: High cpu usage on t440s

You have to check data uploaded and downloaded through your network icon on the taskbar. I found data usage in services couldn't be trusted. In reality it is probably updating to the latest version which is 1809 I think. It is probably safer to defer updates but that is your call. I would ramp up yo...

Shutdown all the unneeded W10 spyware and stop W10 from uploading your system to other users. It is a while since I have used W10 but you can research on the internet. Check your data uploaded and downloaded to investigate further. How long have you had the machine and how long do you let it sit? Wh...

Re: Do R52's have any collectability value?

Hello from Australia. batteries as well as hard drives (incl. cradles/caddy) are all missing and there is no power supply either, I wouldn't buy them because they are not complete so after you spend $30 you have to spend more money. Calculate how much you would have to spend first. I have some T43's...

Re: No Internet or IP address on X220

It was probably the WIFI switch which was jarred enough to stop it working. To access the WIFI card I think you have to remove the keyboard and the palmrest. Also the card has a retaining screw and they generally survive a fall. it is hard to see them doing that for free especially if it is a comput...

The Problem with the World Today

This video sums up why the world is in the position it is today. It is not solely a Democrat or Republican problem.

But why isn't it addressed?

I don't have my X220 with me now because I am travelling but I assume it has a WIFI switch on the side. Either yours could be off from the impact or your WIFI card might have dislodged an antenna cable.

Re: Finally the correct description of what Americans call football.

Most sports get taken over by commercial interests to some degree and we only need to look at FIFA to see how that goes.

International Rugby Union is enjoyable to watch.

Personally my favorite is Aussie Rules football and we tend to mainly like the football we grew up following.

After the World Wars engineering talent in the British Isles went into automobiles and racing with F1 being the pinnacle of this.

Towards the later stages of last century computer technology and engineering merged in F!.

So if you got involved in F1 you could have merged both passions.

I can't see any constraints with the X301 in this scenario. I did some testing a few years back with a cheap Chinese adapter and it worked fine. YMMV

Yes this is a pity as I find them more versatile and hopefully this will change but not likely.

2.5 inch SSDs are that cheap you can just buy a spare as a backup drive or as I have for a smaller data drive.

The X200 is a VPRO chipset so it has Intel AMT and ME version 4. In your Bios you should have Intel AMT disabled under Config. Also check your time out setting. Edit - The security chip should also be disabled under Security. Only the Anti-Theft can be permanently disabled. I think the only way to t...

BTW, if anyone can explain what the error message 'ME is in recovery state' actually means, I'd love to know. When you did the reset you actually reset the Embedded Controller which runs Intel ME. You actually have 2 different operating systems in your X220. Little is known about the OS that Intel ...

Have you just updated the Bios? Maybe see if you can reflash the Bios. Did you use the modded bios or the Lenovo Bios? You could try either now maybe. I agree Windows 10 isn't always compatible with old computers but why then did MS overly push it to users then? Besides this they made rolling back to Windows 7 problematic for users. Also with new editions of Windows 10 being forced on users new problems would appear and testing of these feature up...
