sorry for the late reply. i did some more testing with it, as stated above the one beep doesnt happen. only happens when you switch the laptop off with the power button by holding the power key for 5s. attaching a external monitor shows no picture, even when pressing FN+F7(switch to external screen)...

hi, is it possible to still use a T61 with a dead LCD? peeps one time after boot and no activity on the LCD. according to: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Error_Codes_and_Beep_Codes this means the LCD is dead, although it doesnt specifiy if it is valid for the T61. i would like to use this as a linux ...
