Re: NEW LOOK TO THE OLD FORUM..

Line 256 of ./styles/morrow-legacy/theme/stylesheet.css causes an empty whitespace between posts. This is a minor detail but acts to disrupt the eye as is moves between posts. The whitespace between posts is standard in phpBB styles, but I definitely understand where you're coming from. I don't int...

Re: NEW LOOK TO THE OLD FORUM..

Really enjoying the legacy theme! Very nice work and thanks! One thing that seems to have gotten lost - or at least I'm missing it - are the links to "new posts"/"unread posts"/"your posts" that were located in the upper RH quadrant of the original old layout. Is there any way that we can get these...

Re: NEW LOOK TO THE OLD FORUM..

Per your feedback, we're making some changes to the style, as well as developing a new (additional) theme called "Thinkpad Legacy" that you'll be able to choose from. Changes to both include: a tad more space below the header so it looks less crowded up there the twitter and paypal donation button ...

Re: NEW LOOK TO THE OLD FORUM..

If that doesn't work, we'll make several styles available so that you can choose something different, but none will perfectly replicate the old style. I'd be very interested in this option. Not to knock down anyone's effort and work, but these new styles should've been offered in the first place. I...

Answers to Questions About the phpBB 3.2 Style Update

I'm sure there were important reasons to upgrade the forum software and switch completely over to https for security reasons. Unfortunately, the old styles are not always compatible with the new versions of the software. I've had the same issues with my own forum. They're not decisions made lightly...

Re: NEW LOOK TO THE OLD FORUM..

Few people like change, and I've had some feedback sent to me already. The old style was based on tables, which has fallen out of favor because it hinders blind screen readers and a mobile responsive web. Since phpBB removed the Subsilver-based template we were modifying with each update, we had to ...
