Re: Boe Hydis UXGA better than modern IPS?
Funny that nobody mentions the 15" Sharp UXGA with ASV, which is quite comparable to IPS! http://www.sharpsma.com/lcds/lcd-reference-information/advanced-super-view-technology All it requires is a small Z-fold (2 x 8mm) in the LCD-cable to fit in the T60. It even works in a T4x with a few small mod...

Re: Install a 1066MHz FSB CPU on T61 (including Core 2 Quad)
In the German forum https://thinkpad-forum.de/threads/172581 there are some bios files. As per my understanding these were provided by highsun and are based on bios version 2.27. I installed 专门网论坛_T61Q_BIOS(1.05)_ASPM.rar in my machine although I installed a dual core CPU. However as per discussions...

GOOD NEWS Thanks to highsun, the ultimate 2.29 BIOS with quad core support and Nvidia undervolt(1.05V) is finally ready, it is based on amaninsh's BIOS and has newer CPU microcode MD5 2c707e2126d20c43591dbe0821137f22 available here: http://www13.zippyshare.com/v/pQuATdgO/file.html @RMSMajestic: thi...

Re: Install a 1066MHz FSB CPU on T61 (including Core 2 Quad)
Just starting working on my Frankenpad. The mobo is a 42W7648 with a T7300 and 4Gb of RAM (samsung chips). I plan to upgrade the CPU to T9600. In order to flash SPD for RAM do I need to run SPD tool under Windows? I would need to find a HDD and install Windows on the machine. It would be nice if it ...

Re: T61p reboots during boot from Linux live CD. boots well from internal disk
It happens with my system also. I was trying to boot from Ubuntu 10 and 12 Live CD, I have no HDD installed in the machine. It only worked for me with Ubuntu 9 Live CD. With another T60 there are no issues. I was looking on the web for similar problems and then I found this post: http://forum.thinkp...

I have a hot air soldering station and soldering iron, that won't be a problem to do some soldering.
What is the EEPROM chip that you added?

Re: The cheapest T60/T61 frankenpad (sweet big pictures warning)
@Bibin: How was advertised the first HV150UX1 Boe-Hydis UXGA LCD that you bought on ebay? Grade A or B?
I am looking also into a screen. I have a T60 15" (only SXGA+) , I bought a T61 14" and also a T9600 as CPU (some modification will be required for 1066 FSB).

Lcd screen for T61: LP154WE2 (TL)(A1)
Hi all, Looking to replace a screen in in widescreen T61. I found a part that comes from an HP 6715b LP154WE2(TL)(A1) and I am wondering if it would fit. The screen has two brackets (top and bottom) that would need to be removed, but I need your opinion if other than this would be any problem. Do th...

SL500 upgrade to WSXGA+
Hi all, I have an SL500 with a WXGA screen. I might be able to get a screen LTN154P3-L02 quite cheap to upgrade to WSXGA+. The screen seems to be a CCFL screen (see here https://www.screencountry.com/index.php?set_currency=USD§ion=products&part_number=LTN154P3-L02 ). The question is which cable ...

Re: T43: LCD panel upgrade to UXGA
GPU is an ATI X300 (or X600) with 32MB memory, otherwise an UXGA upgrade would not make sense. T43 sports X300 with 64MB VRAM and up to 128MB shared. You'll be fine with UXGA. Been there and done that. Happy upgrading. The adapter is reported as ATI Mobility Radeon X300, Device ID 5460 SubsystemID ...

Re: T43: LCD panel upgrade to UXGA
The "UXGA" will be a great display but you might find it will generate more heat after the upgrade. What GPU are you running? Good luck and nice to hear the T43's are still being utilised. T43: LCD panel upgrade to UXGA
Hi all, I need your help with an upgrade I am looking at. I have a T43 machine, type 2668 which has a 15" LCD SXGA+. I am looking into upgrading the screen to UXGA, probably a different LCD panel and cable would be required. For the cable I found one from R50 P/N 91P6836, also an UXGA cable for a 15...
