Hello
For a X31 stuck by thunder, I'm looking for the fuse list.
Any suggestion on what may revive it? (can't power it up, no sign of life)
Thanks!

X201 tablet DSDT
Hello
Would anyone have a working X201 tablet DSDT?
What I've found has problem with sound, or runs too hot. Ideally, if the digitizer could also be properly initialized, that would be sweet.
Otherwise, I guess I will have to create one :-/
Thanks

x201 tablet screen replacement: direct bonding difference
I would like to replace my existing 13N7278 (HX121WX1-111) 200 nits screen by a 400 nits. Problem is my screen is behind some kind of transparent plastic that extends on the side, called a "protection plate", while the outdoor screen is just surrounded by a black frame, called "direct bonding" Here'...

X201 : 3rd mini PCIe port
Hello On my X201 tablet, the 3rd mini PCIe port (that should be approximately below the F8 key) does not seem to have been soldered. In the documentation it is referred as the Intel-turbo-memory or WUSB slot. What exactly needs to be soldered, besides the mini PCIe port? (ex: On the x60, the 2nd min...

Swapping a X201 keyboard by a T42 to have no window keys
Hello Lately, I've started to dislike window keys. They take some space I'd rather have for Alt and Control, especially on small keyboards. Is it possible to replace a X201 tablet keyboard by a T42 keyboard? I'm looking at a 39T0581 39T0550 sold for a "14' T42" on ebay because it looks just the same...

Re: x60 tablet frankenstein motherboard: adding a mini PCIe
Hello x60 tablet main WWAN antenna - verkaufen aus ebay! Now I'll be waiting for it and crossing my fingers that it will work fine for the GPS. My plan : 1) solder a simcard reader next to the ram slots Edit1 : for the sim card reader, there is an interesting thread on http://forum.thinkpads.com/vie...

Re: x60 tablet frankenstein motherboard: adding a mini PCIe
Hello Oops FryPpy, you are right about the shielding. I have to rethink my plans ! Basically, I see 2 ways: - 1) using a dedicated GPS module, such as http://www.ebay.com/itm/U-blox-PCI-5S-GPS-Module-PCI-E-B39-Mini-Wireless-LAN-Card-4Hz-Update-/360768204632 It says it supports active antennas - I wo...

Re: x60 tablet frankenstein motherboard: adding a mini PCIe
I have personally soldered a second miniPCIe connector to my X60 tablet motherboard and it works. It also needed standoffs to screw the card in. All parts were purchased new from DigiKey. Hello Question about the soldering - for the mini PCIE port, did you use a hotgun or a soldering iron? (for suc...

Re: x60 tablet frankenstein motherboard: adding a mini PCIe
The antenna will indeed be a problem. I plan to buy a dedicated antenna (ex: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1575-42MHz-3-5V-Built-in-GPS-Active-Antenna-LNA-9dB-IPX-U-fl-for-mini-Tablet-PC-/261242004264) and put it next to the HD. It looks small enough to fit. If it doesn't fit, it will still go into the HD...

x60 tablet frankenstein motherboard: adding a mini PCIe oprt
Hello I got myself a space X60 tablet motherboard that I would like to use as an "organ donor" for a special project : adding a 2nd mini PCIe to my current motherboard. Has anyone tried this? The only thing missing seems to be the connector, which could be soldered with a heatgun. I'd like to use th...

X60s tablet : screen issues and recovery CD
Hello I recently purchased a mint x60s tablet. It's very nice, in a mint state (no scratches or dents, only the back of the screen has a crack - but a brand new back has just been ordered :-) There're only 2 problems : - the screen tilts when I press with finger on the top of the left or the right c...
