Thanks, all. I'll most likely be running a couple of VMs and have a few browser tabs open. The majority of other tools that I'll be using will be command line on Arch Linux so hopefully that should make a difference. I found one model close by that has an IPS panel, 8 gigs RAM, and a i5-3210M proces...

So far I haven't had any luck finding one nearby. Just the model I mentioned without the IPS panel :/ZaZ wrote:I would think it easier to find an IPS i7 X230 and replace the keyboard than the LCD if that's what you want. Replacing the keyboard won't void the warranty either.

WTB: X230, IPS, i7
Hi, I'm looking for a X230 with an i7 processor and IPS display. RAM and SSD upgrades would be great but not absolutely necessary. I'm not sure how many forum members are located in Toronto but I would prefer to buy local or at least in Canada to avoid import charges.
