Started on this in the morning and the screws on the wireless card are very tough to unscrew(improper tools most likely). Any suggestions on where I can get a set which would have the right screwdriver. The guide says the screws are M2 x 9.5mm, flathead. Hmmm...Philips #0 and # 1 are all I ever use...

The problem could just be Vista becoming corrupt. Did you install any programs or change any settings before these issues occurred? Also, you can try doing a system restore to a time when you did not have the problem to see if that fixes the issue. I tried the full restore and upon completion Vista...

I ran the memtest86 program and here are the results.

There are no errors so what should I check now?

Also, why am I able to boot into safe mode with a hardware issue?
