Re: What is the empty hole on the front right next to the cl
I have a lenovo x200 laptop , modem port is enabled so i must have a 5in1 card reader . It seems i have mistaken micro sd card with sd card slot. I jah the idea in my mind that there should be a case where you put micro sd on it and put it in as a sd card (from my old laptop). Checking my x200 with ...

Re: What is the empty hole on the front right next to the cl
Thanks for the reply but i still don't understand how to use it . THere is no casing like in modern laptops where you just put the sd card on it , press it through and get recognized . There is an empty deep slot with nothing in it . How to use it?

What is the empty hole on the front right next to the clip?
Hello! I have a question about the empty hole next to the clip where i clips the screen when you close it. To my guess is a 5-1 reader because i also have a modem port . My question is , is it normal that there is an empty hole with no casing inside? I mean there isn't a casing like for sd card or s...

Re: Thinkpad x200 windows 8.1 flash performance poor
Hello . It seems internet explorer was using the lag on flash. With chrome there isn't any lag at least nothing I can notice , so I guess problem is solved . I was thinking that it may be an os problem but it didn't look like logical too me , since it happens only with flash. I will just use chrome...

Re: Best OS for x200 ?
Yes there is even a joke where I come from since we have a word "svista" which means delete , and often people make that joke when someone has vista The general public still has no clue that Microsoft perfected Vista back in 2009. Vista was certainly "svista" (thanks for teaching me a new word!) du...

Re: Best OS for x200 ?
Windows 8.1 runs well but i'm thinking of downgrading to windows 7 x64 since is the last supported os for our laptops (drivers) ...I'm using 4gb ddr3 , I have an X200s running 64-bit Vista Business, on a 5400rpm HDD. I am happy with the performance though I suspect 64-bit 7 would be a little faster...

Re: Best OS for x200 ?
Windows 8.1 performs better than than windows 7 in general, but as was said before, windows 7 has all necessary drivers. However, windows 7 drivers often work with 8.1 as well. If you want the absolute best hardware support, speed, and customizability, linux will probably be the answer, though conf...

Re: Thinkpad x200 windows 8.1 flash performance poor
Hi shak3800. I just happen to have my x200tablet right in front of me now. It has a low-voltage SL9400 1.86 GHz processor, 4gb RAM, and is running W7 64-bit. I actually am using it in tablet mode with One Note at the moment. I unplugged it and ran a youtube (YT) video in full-screen. It started out...

Re: Best OS for x200 ?
Welcome to the forum! How much RAM do you have in that X200? A properly-set-up Vista Business should not feel slow at all. It's hard to advise anyone on what "the best" OS is, but I've ran W7 Pro 64 on these machines - with 8GB RAM and an SSD - and it ran exceptionally well. Obviously, YMMV. Window...

Best OS for x200 ?
Hello everyone! So my x200 came preinstalled with vista business , which i don't like since its slow . I have installed windows 8.1 and everything worked great out of the box , except fingreprint and pci communications simple controller which needed the AMT management engine .
