Error with X200 Tablet

I've got a X200 Tablet at work that I'm prepping for someone else, and I'm running into this error upon logging on -- "An error has occured (sic) while trying to disable the beam forming feature." It's a 7449-45U model and it's running XP w/ SP3. Does anyone have and suggestions for me to look at?

i have tried making changes in the bios section, but nothing here makes any diffrence What changes did you make in the BIOS? I'm having the same issues and did some research on the internet and found here about disabling the AHCI. After reading this I went into the BIOS and from Devices -- ATA Driv...

Sweet. I had forgotten about the Z60m supporting dual-channgel memory. Don't know why I didn't think the Z61t couldn't when the Z60m could. D'oh...

Well shoot. I didn't think the memory limit wouldn't be set at 3GB by the chipset. I guess I wouldn't need to upgrade the processor then since the 32-bit processor can only see 3GB of memory. How would I go about the RAM then - just a 1GB stick and a 2GB stick, or go with 2 - 2GB sticks? Does the Z6...

My Z60m has a new sibling!

Couple weeks ago I purchased a refurbished Z61t laptop off of eBay, and have received it a few days ago. While not quite as powerful as my Z60m, the Z61t is quite svelte compared to the Z60m. I'm planning on getting a bigger hard drive and more RAM (it currently has an 80GB HHD and 512MB RAM). I wou...

W700 With Secondary Monitor?

According to the Engadget article Lenovo has a W700 with a secondary display.

Trying to get the actual Notebook Review site but I'm getting a 404 error...

Thoughts?

I want to give my highest regards for Steveg47. I had bought 2 batteries from him and had no issues. Transaction went smoothly with no problems whatsoever. Quick shipping and well protected.

If Steve ever has anything else for sale that I would need, I would not hesitate buying from him again.

ThinkCentre M57 (9088-BGU) SATA Connectors

At work I've received a new ThinkCentre M57 tower computer and looking inside I see that in the SATA cluster 3 of them are orange and the 4th one is black. Any reason for this? Sadly the Hardware Maintenance Manual and User Guide are no assistance.

Another Dead Battery

Ok, I've got my second dead battery (9-cell) for my Z60m. The first battery went bad almost two years ago and had asked the forum (here's the link ) about it. Luckily it was part of one of the battery recalls and it was replaced. Well this time, there's no recall so I'm going to purchase a new one. ...

I've been thinking of adding wwan capabilities to my Z60m (2529-EAU) and after reading this topic I'm a bit confused. The gap is not a problem since the bay has a little rubber flap that closes the gap. It's not perfect, but it's not a gaping hole. A bigger problem is the possible need to use a drive bracket (the same one when you install a drive into the ThinkPad) when installing the drive into the Ultrabay adapt...

the z series(with the exception of z60t, z61t) use ultrabay enhanced drives/adapters. these are about 3mm thicker than the ultrabay slim devices. the slim devices will fit / work in the ultrabay enhanced bay, but b/c of the gap, it won't be a tight fit. i don't have 1st hand experience, but i think...

Ultrabay Slim HDD Adapter Question

I've come across a PATA Ultrabay Slim HDD adapter (FRU P/N 62P4553) and I was wondering if it'll work in my Z60m (2529-EAU). I've got a SATA Ultrabay Slim HDD adapter (26R9246) and both look the same, well except for the interface with the hard drive obviously. It would be nice to have my 100GB PATA...

I've got a remote user at work that supposedly has a bad AC adapter (it's the 72 Watt type for T2x, T3x, and T4x series). This is the first I've heard of one going bad. I was told by a third party that it's not charging up the laptop's battery. I just went and sent her a different adapter, and now t...
