Thanks for thinking about my post. To clear up any confusion, I'm talking about the keyboard backlight which comes with an X1 Carbon Touch, not the ThinkLight LED on other models.

The key in the upper right corner of my keyboard is Delete. Are you saying that Fn + Delete will keep the keyboard backlight on? I don't think so.anatol123 wrote:fn+the key in the right upper corner

How to turn keyboard light on at boot?
How can I configure an X1 Carbon Touch to automatically turn on its keyboard light at boot? Also, I want it to automatically turn on when it wakes from sleep. Basically I want it on all the time, unless I turn it off.

It turned out to be caused by an old Cisco VPN client I had installed. The Lenovo PM driver was not to blame.

I have a first generation X1CT running Windows 8.1 which started crashing within the past few weeks. I've analyzed the crash dump with windbg , but it just says the driver at fault is NETIO.SYS . I'm under the impression that this could be a false positive and that another driver actually caused the...

I definitely don't like the offset keyboard, as it forces me to sit off center from the screen. Who really uses a numeric keypad these days? Certainly the few who do could use an external USB keypad rather than force the rest of us to suffer.
