Upgrading M93p Tiny With Intel 4785T
I recently bought about a dozen M93p Tiny USFF PCs (all are model 10AB, and all use 65W power supplies) for my office space, as they are easily serviceable, compact, computationally competent (for what they're used for), and cheap. I also purchased some Intel 4785T CPU's for some of the users, up fr...

Re: I just put Windows 10 on my T61
Good to hear! In your report, please include what internal hardware you are using (CPU, GPU, Wireless Card, etc), and if you experience any driver issues in Device Manager. I've been tempted to upgrade to Windows 10 and then clean install (tied to your motherboard's hardware ID), but I've been hesit...

Re: Survey 3 of 4 is up + PLEASE VOTE FOR this forum Aspect Ratio
Results for Survey #3 have been posted. Apparently, the vote has been split between Dual and Quad Core, but it was probably about as "split" as the 2:3 vs 3:4 vs 16:10 poll. The top 5 ports (in order) are USB A, full-size Ethernet, SD Card Reader, USB C, and full-size HDMI. Finally, 4 out of 5 voter...

Re:
Here's the breakdown of my answers to the survey: CPU 47watts processor. Because my X220's Sandy Bridge is a 35w one already, better go up than downgrade with 15-28w enveloppe. Also this choice will give a chance to have GT4e graphics. Gfx Iris Pro. We've reached a "good enough" level, and I think ...

Re: RetroThinkPad survey #2 of ?? ** the REAL one **
Results of Survey #2 are posted. Numbers have increased to over 6000 (a 50% increase since Survey #1). Lenovo notes that not only Survey #1 is still being taken, but that it will keep all Surveys open until the series is complete. Keep spreading the word, Thinkpad faithful! Apparently nearly half of...

Re: T61 questions
George, I went with the PC2-5300 memory. My next move is the t9300 processor. My Ebay strike price is $18. Right now the market is running a bit high in the low to mid 20's. This T61 has a 4 cell battery with only 40 cycles on it. I will probably get a 6 cell battery and call it good for this machi...

Re: Thinkpadders Rejoice (*LARGE PICS*)
One that I made ThinkPad Logo: http://s262.photobucket.com/user/halfbryan/media/ThinkPad%20RGB%20Logo.bmp.jpeg.html I think the stripes going through it is a must and closes to get to the IBM logo. Heres a compare of what I did of the T92 with IBM logo on it. http://s262.photobucket.com/user/halfbr...

Re: RetroThinkPad survey #1 of ??
Lenovo has posted an update to the blog concerning Survey 1 results:
http://blog.lenovo.com/en/blog/retro-th ... -keyboard/
1. The T60, X220, X300 and the X1 were (unsurprisingly) fan favorites.
2. 4 out of 5 Thinkpadders can't be wrong, 7-row keyboards are superior.

Re: T61 questions
Can I use 65w T410 power supplies with the T61? Is that one supposed to be a significantly smaller than the included supply? I myself use a 90W supply off my old R61 for faster charging. By the way, does anyone know if the 65W supply will be sufficient for a T61 (Intel graphics) using the T9300 or ...

Re: T61 - What Cooling System Do You Use?
Sorry, I meant a discrete (interchangeable) fan + heatsink or an integrated heatsink and fan (literally a blade spinning in a lump of copper)? When comparing the noise, I mean in reference to the supposedly quieter T500 and W500 fan assemblies. Supposedly, they produce less noise when run at the sam...

Re: T61 - What Cooling System Do You Use?
It's an Intel with integrated graphics, an Intel Wifi Link 5300 WLAN, and (for now) a Seagate 7200 RPM HDD (I have a Samsung 850 Pro SSD waiting in the wings for Windows 10 Pro). Currently, I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 with 4 GB RAM. I may spring for 8 GB RAM later (does the Middleton BIOS remove L...

T61 - What Cooling System Do You Use?
Greetings! I'm a long-time lurker, first time poster. While I've enjoyed an R61 Thinkpad since 2008, it sadly succumbed to the Nvidia plague last year. After a sufficient period of mourning, I have acquired a T61 15.4" Widescreen to enjoy (and turn into a FrankenPad) for years to come. I've already ...
