Orange ThinkLight

Hi all,
some time ago I was at home R60 15" with orange LED ThinkLight, I'd gained LCD cable orange ThinkLight for my T601 Frankie. My question is, should all R60 orange ThinkLight or should i white ThinkLight and is possible put in T60 screen lid? What FRU has a cable with orange ThinkLight?

Thanks

Try using the IBM_ECW app from this topic viewtopic.php?f=27&t=105203. It works great for me and support Dual IDA.

I have reduced fan speed on both systems. I have no experience with soldering. Moreover, frankie is very cold now. The highest frequency is 2.3GHz, but it's not a problem for me.

Re: X9000 - is it worth it?

Yes, system is stable, but 0,725V is for lowest multiplier and FSB 200 MHz. For undervolting i use IBM_ECW and VID4.

So, real volatge is 913 - 200 = 713 mV

Re: X9000 - is it worth it?

Hi, I think the best processor for the T601 is the T9900. It offers similar performance to the X9000, but run much cooler and can be undervolted from 0.9 to 0.725V with pinmod.

Re: How much can you undervolt your T61 gpu?

All units with the nvs 140m graphics chip I undervolted to 0.95V witout ASPM stable. At lower voltage BSOD occurred. In the last time I have noticed the unstability of the graphics card driver. That's why I tried several different drivers. It is best to use the latest drivers from Lenovo 296.88 or d...

Re: T60 hardware mod to undervolt CPU below 0.95V [updated +photos]

You tried a processor in another board, if the works with a lower voltage (0.85-0.95)? Can't it be a better processor that handles these lower voltages? I use IBM_ECW to undervolt a processor, i think this is better than Throttlestop or NHC.

Re: T60 hardware mod to undervolt CPU below 0.95V [updated +photos]

This is very interesting, I would say there is another possibility to change the hardware voltage of the processor. It looks similar to adjusting to increase the power of the processor described in this thread https://thinkpad-forum.de/threads/132011-HowTo-Mehr-Power-f%C3%BCrs-X-und-T-Pinmod-an-X61(...

Re: T60 recommended SSD

Try to find SSD drives that use MLC memory chip, like Kingston KC400, OCZ(Toshiba) Vector 180, Crucial M500 or Samsung 850 Pro. They have a longer life than new SSDs that use SLC and TLC chip memory. These SSD drives are more expensive and can sometimes be bought at local outlets. Recently I managed...

Re: T61 with T9300 - clock multiplier drops to X4 from X12.5

Hello, I had the same problem a few years ago. I managed to solve it by using the CCleaner program to clean registry and remove the CMOS battery. If that does not help, try uninstalling the PowerManager with the drivers and using a different version of PWRM.

So I made measurements in other programs. HWInfo displays the same values as GPU-Z (1.15-1.2V), Nvidia Inspector displays the same values as Aida (0.95V). I've also run several benchmarks GPU and temperatures are to 60°C at full load and 2500rpm fan. So it will be how Screamer writes. The GPU is und...

T61 nV GPU voltage

Hlleo everyone, on the weekend I made a pin-mod on the T61(FRU 42W7649) with nvidia NVS 140m graphics card and installed the CPU P9700. Everything is up and running good, but now I can not undervolted GPU. It still works at the factory voltage, used BIOS from Highsun with 0.95V voltage. I want to as...

Hello everyone, I want to ask the difference between xiphmont mod for the HV150UX1 and the factory LED HV150UX2. I have the HV150UX2 screen but I do not mind two things. First, the lowest brightness value is still too high for work in the night and secondly, PWM is known on the boards with nvidia gr...
