Re: Cant access (or login) to my WPA-PSK Network

Que tal, Hombre Amel.

On the back of your WL router, you will find a small hole. Push in it with a wire, this will reset it and the password will be gone.

Then, if you need it again protected, start a new setup of a desired PW.

Change my profile?

Hello, James. Long time. A very easy question today, how can I change my profile ? I now have two G41s and I exchanged the 365 for a $100.00 rebate on a new laptop, it was still working. Another question.... how are you doing ? I see that you are still busy here, good on you. JP. Admin note : Split ...

Re: G41 28818DU

Hello, ajkula66. I have two G41, great machine. On the latest models, there is no power setup icon on the task bar. One machine has a 3+ CPU and runs around the other that has a 2.66 CPU. Do you know where to look for the power settings ? It used to be that I could control the CPU fan from the task ...

Re: Hard drive question

Hello RBS, how are things ? You said : DDR333 = PC2700 DDR400 = PC3200 Your DDR400/PC3200 modules are running at DDR333/PC2700 speed, which is the G4x speed. The G4x has an FSB of 400MHz. Your G40/G41 can take up to 2x 1GB PC2700 RAM. Maybe you should read up on the specs of your laptop? Well, it no...

Hello Thinkpader. >> As AJ had explained, your memory will run at PC2700 speed. This is because the RAM itself does not generate a clock. HarryC, hello >> JP, a technical guy you are not . RAM size is measured in MB (MegaBytes) or GB (GigaBytes) not MHz (Megahertz). Ooooh ! I hate this. That got by me even on a reread of my post. Re: Hard drive question

Hello RBS. I like people who do not give up easy ! Good going on your part. I find on page 50 of my .pdf HMM, the relevent information. Looking at my G41, it says that it has 2 G of RAM at DDR3200 (200). I ignore if this is the rate of the sticks or what. The MoBo is rated at 166 x 2 = 333. This ari...

Re: WPA instead of WEP encription for Wireless Adaptor

Hello ekdya. To find out if your TP is WPA capable, you first have to consider the AP. Get into the setup screen for it, often accessd via a URL of 192.168.1.1, your MMV. Then get into the setup for your WL card. You are on your own, more or less. If this is not possible in your Thinkpad, get a PCMC...

R&R 4 yet ?

Well, Robert, I have not yet gone the new R&R 4 route. I will read on it first, you know the RTFM stuff. I rely on an image of my HD for safety, I use True Image and I am quite happy with it, takes much less time than a redo from Z:\ or from the 7 CDs. Different folks ! Have a Merry. JP

Good morn, Robert. I would like your opinion on R&R 4, is it worth the trouble ? I have heard that it is somehow problematic in some aspect.
