Re: Remote security exploit in all 2008+ Intel platforms
The T400 is not listed so you can assume it is not affected by the " Remote security exploit ". Make sure AMT is disabled in your BIOS regardless and any software to AMT is removed. True, the article linked in the OP mentions Nehalem and above. Since I'm Penryn, hopefully I'm ok. But it's more like...

Re: Thinkpadders Rejoice (*LARGE PICS*)
A T470 with a 7-row keyboard would be better than a T470 with a 6-row keyboard, but its screen is smaller than the 13.3 inch screen on a Thinkpad 600e from year 2000 (83.75 in^2 vs 84.91 in^2). Not for serious stuff. http://www.displaywars.com/14-inch-16x9-vs-13,3-inch-4x3 It's amazing how disappoi...

Re: Thinkpadders Rejoice (*LARGE PICS*)
There are rumors that the retro thinkpad will be based on the T470 , but the details are somewhat lost in translation. Read it and weep ! (found it here: https://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?p=801190#p801190) Weep why? I would buy I have no problems. I am not married to any screen ratio ...

WTB T400 Ultrabay HDD Caddy
I would like to buy a Serial Ultrabay Slim HDD adapter. From this page, it looks like I'm looking for FRU 43N3415 or 43N3429. I bought a cheap knock off, but the depth of the HDD caddy is too shallow so it doesn't support the keyboard bezel.

Re: Yoga 2 Pro Model 20266 with Windows 10. Botched SSD upgrade (screen no longer works)
Hi RBS, thanks for the reply. Yes, I had referenced the HMM before starting. I also kept the different screws in separate baggies for the bottom cover (plus these ones are Torx), the battery, and the LCD assembly. Though I can't completely rule out that maybe I did somehow mix them up. If I did shor...

[Solved] Yoga 2 Pro Model 20266 with Windows 10. Botched SSD upgrade (screen no longer works)
I originally posted this on Reddit. I'm hoping someone here may have the answer though. tl;dr I upgraded the mSATA SSD in my wife's Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro. After putting the laptop back together, the screen doesn't power on. When connecting to an external display, everything is fine but the computer only...
