Re: So, who's ready to take the covid-19 vaccine ?

I am never going to take a vaccine for any virus that is man-made in labs and has been advertised like the the end of the world by whole media in all over the world. If the government of my country forces me to take the vaccine to live in its borders, i will just move to another counrty to live that...

Re: TP E15 2nd Gen Ryzen 4700u thoughts ?

I have bought the E15 gen2 with ryzen7 4700u, 16gb, 512gb, 1080p ips panel. While i agree that T series would be superior in terms of build quality, E15 isnt a pile of crap. I really liked the build quality of the machine. Wish the panel was 300nits instead of 250nits but you get what you pay for at...

Relevancy of these machines depends on your usage pattern. If you happen to be one of those like me who enjoys to open a cold beer and browse youtube, watch online tv shows or movies, type some documents from time to time and listen to your fave music or read news, check email, it is relevant in 202...

Re: How to keep palmrest stickers from falling off

I like to keep the original stickers in their original places. If they happen to slide and lose their adhesive strength by time, i use my razor knife to peel them without damaging and clean of the old adhesive below the stickers with isoprophyl alchocol dampened on a soft cloth. Once the old adhesiv...

Re: Current screen upgrade status on T60/T61

The panel has 300nits brightness and 600:1 contrast ratio. Super cheap and glossy. 1280x800 resolution. It looks better to my eyes than the elitebook 2760p ips panel which is higly regarded as good. If you want a cheap panel that looks like a premium panel and don't mind widescreen, there are the e...

They sold me a T61 with nvs 140m with the exact same situation which worked fine for 2 hours. I bought it for cheap and didnt mind the issue. I tested a checkerboard pattern and it lines up and shows correct. Btw i am %100 sure that i am using 1680x1050 resolution in desktop and in games and benchmark apps reporting and running at 1680x1050 eventho whatismyscreenresolution.com and similar websites reports it being 1522x951.

Just overclocked the 1280x800 60hz panel of my T61 to 1440x900 90hz. Works perfectly.

Edit : Just tried 1680 x 1050 at 90hz, it works just fine as well :)

The T410 had the 1440x900 (16:10) option, NOT the 1600x900 (16:9) as you wrongly indicate.
The T510 (and after that: T420/T520 etc.) already came with 1600x900, as the first 16:9 Thinkpad.
Thanks, corrected the wrong.

My E5410 has the 1440x900 display, it is very bright and contrast ratio is good. A joy to look/read, thx for posting! T42p looks so cool. It's a shame there are no Frankepads to give these toys more modern internals :) Today, i had a customer visitor who was interested in my T42p. Update about the NVIDIA board.

I ended up fixing the auto power up issue. The very same error was happening with my X61 T8300. I replaced the bios battery and inserted a full battery. Saved time in bios. This fixed the auto power issue with X61 and T61 both.

T61 14.1 wide with nvs140m gpu, 6300 points in 3dmark03 X60s with L2500 cpu, so mint condition. And ...

Dx9 support aint much of an issue nor the windows 7. As these machines will be running with XP and playing older titles. DVI support is not essential for me.
