Re: The Complete 6x-series QXGA Thread

My friend in China told me when he talked to the sellers that the screens priced at 600 have yellowing screen, or some other defects with the screens. They work... but they have defects. The screen I got for 1100 is in perfect condition. The only issue was that the bulb shattered on the way here. Bu...

Re: The Complete 6x-series QXGA Thread

It works! The backlight bulb was shattered, which I guess is the consequence of having this panel shipped twice to get to me (first to my friend in China, and then to me). Where did you get the panel? I have friends in China and live in Toronto too. Or I can take one if you wanna sell one. I will n...

Re: The Complete 6x-series QXGA Thread

Because that version of Windows XP was on a drive pulled from another T60 with an ATI chip, while mine has a Nvidia chip. It had ATI drivers on it, so that was the max resolution it went to for some reason. But I did a clean install of Windows 10 on my T601F and as you see here in the screenshot the...

Re: [T61] Anyone done the Core2Quad upgrade?

Apologies for not having done the exact mod - the quad mod - but I did do the 1066 FSB mod and installed the T9900, for which I'll provide a quick synopsis of my experience: Yes - the upgrade was certainly worth it. Heat is actually improved from the regard that I used the undervolted/overclocked G...

Would you be able to provide a link to where the motherboard is sold on 51nb's website? I searched, but I can't find where this motherboard is being sold.

Since it looks like your CCFL tube is going out, why not replace it with an LED kit?

Recommendation for Wifi Card for T61 with Middleton bios?

I have a T60/T61 Frankenpad, and am wondering what would be a good wifi card for this laptop, either full size or half size.

Re: The Complete 6x-series QXGA Thread

So, I have attempted to flash my panel with the qxga.dat file that I made but I was unsuccessful. The qxga.dat file that I made became 551 bytes, so that may be the issue. I am wondering if anyone would be able to make the qxga.dat file available for download? It was available in the first post but...

Re: The Complete 6x-series QXGA Thread

So how can I flash the panel? Do it Linux way. First of all - read ThinkWiki article . Then get Ubuntu liveCD or USB. Boot -> connect to the net -> apt-get install i2c-tools and flash EDID. I don't remember what i have used for this job - intel or ATI motherboard but i have done this work on Ubuntu...

X230T - looking for help flashing bios for X220 keyboard install

Hello, I have recently installed the X220 keyboard in my X230T, but I have still yet to do a bios flash for some of the function keys to work. Unfortunately, I have no idea on how to patch the Lenovo iso with the bios mod. I have flashed bioses before many times, but I have never used tools from git...
