Re: E545 Meltdown

Whoops sorry. Chrome. I tried just copying stuff over but that doesn't work and the only instructions I can find say you have to export from the old one and import to the new one... but for obvious reasons I can't export from the old one.

Re: E545 Meltdown

Sort of off topic but sort of related....

How do I import my bookmarks and passwords from the old drive to the new one. I can't do the actual "Import" option the way everything I've googled tells me to do.... and I really need those passwords....

Re: E545 Meltdown

You know, I was actually just thinking this this AM. External drives are cheap and both options I'm looking at dont' have an internal optical drive. I may give it a go. Not sure I would keep this one still with as many issues as it's had, but it might be worth a shot. Also, because I may end up part...

Re: E545 Meltdown

Sadly I don't think the Yoga would stand up to it, not to mention the HD is small since it was never meant to be my primary. Just something I bring back and forth to school. Obviously I now need a new laptop, but man, after less than 2 years on this one I hesitate to buy Lenovo again. Sad thing is, ...

Re: E545 Meltdown

The Yoga I'm using doesn't have a CD option. I can only do it via USB. The ISO to USB software was supposed to make it useable. I don't have another option. I have not removed the drive to see how it will boot. We did do the F9/F10 thing tho, and that's how I finally got the CRC error. Obviously the...

Re: E545 Meltdown

I get a message "Operating system not found" on it when I do that. The ISO file is there. Tried RUFUS and it tells me the file is not bootable, but I got it straight from Lenovo... http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/DS035513?LinkTrack=Solr Which is the file tech support told me to grab. A mon...

E545 Meltdown

Ok, so I am in a bit of a panic now. I've had the E545 for less than 2 years. The fan went bad after less than 6 months so I turned it back in and when I got it back I had a lot of issues. Lenovo even busted the bevel around my screen. Upgraded the memory when I got it. Upgraded to a TB SSD drive in...
