Re: Win7, 8.1, or 10 for new nvidia 570 frankenpad?

I would use Win 8.1, that's what I have been using on my T60 and T601 Frankenpad too, without any issues (on T60 I had to disable fast boot due to the Ati driver causing black screen on startup). You need to spend about 5 minutes after Win 8.1 install to customize a few things, so you won't ever see...

For anyone interested: The Boardroom is open again (this time in Ireland) to take your inverter and LCD-cable LED-mod orders. Re: ThinkPad T61 Intel Graphics Windows 10 (1903) general lag

I don't know why everyone is against Windows 8.1. Unlike Win 8, you can get rid of the stupid tiles entirely in 8.1, takes abot 5 minutes to adjust a few things after installation, and it becomes the most streamlined, logical and simple looking (in a good way) Windows out there out of the box. I thi...

Thanks, I found the bios file. Because of some reason I can't bake my cd. Is there a way to use thumb drive to flash the bios?
I have flashed the BIOS with a thumbdrive on a T60 and on a T61 as well, no problems there. I think it's much more convenient than having to burn a disc.

NEW DISCOVERY a few weeks ago I discovered a seller on ebay which , among 6 cells and 9 cells batteries for T60/T61, also offered 12 cell batteries, I took a chance and bought one, it arrived today and I must say, ITS THE REAL DEAL, its not a panasonic from 2006-2008, its just a sanyo from 2017, bu...

Re: The 2503 Advanced Dock & Its GPUs

I use the same dock with my T60. If I were you I would just use a pcie extender cable and place the graphics card outside of the dock. This is how my dock is set up with a fanless Nvidia 1030 card. There is just not enough space in the dock, and if ypu manage to put in a card with an extremely low p...

Experience and results of LED modding a T60 and T601 Frankenpad

I thought I will share my experience what it was like to LED mod a Thinkpad T60 and a T601 Frankenpad. Both of these machines are 15 inch 4:3 variants with LG Philips LP150E05(A2)(K1) SXGA+ screens. As you know, the screens in these machines originally came with ccfl backlight from the factory. But ...

FS: 2503 Advanced docking station for £5

I have a 2503 Advanced docking station in used condition, which has a non-functioning PCI Express output (for external graphics cards). The dock otherwise still works if you dock a laptop to it, as long as you don't try to install an additional graphics card in it. I wrote down my experiences with t...

@W500tragic Yes I have the modded no whitelist BIOS on my T60. Indeed its a shame about the Ati opengl support, as the mentioned program runs just fine on my T61 with Nvidia in it. About the dock: as I mentioned it works perfectly now, apart from a dmall annoyance. I can't put the laptop to slepp wi...

I will be really interested in the follow up on this project too.
