Can anyone help me find a cable?

I'm looking for the cable for the thunderbolt 3 workstation dock number 03x7540 because my cable doesn't work... Lenovo parts rep says it's out of stock with 60 days wait and no guarantee that it will come back in stock after 60 days... I picked this dock for my X1 Extreme Gen 2.. I can't buy anothe...

Re: Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 2

I have an X1 4th Generation (not Extreme) new in 2016 and it works fine. i7 and 16GB of memory like you. Intel Graphics (my experiment with dedicated graphics on a T61 left me cold so I avoid that). 1 TB SSD NVMe drive. Be careful what you wish to keep on the 256GB SSD as you might find that confin...

Re: How can I reinstall Windows 10?

Are you sure that the LCD works, i.e. the backlight fuse is still OK? Tried an external monitor? To boot from USB: press F12 at boot time and select the option(s) normally shown there. If you had moved USB to the top of that list, that's enough. If you know in what position the USB option is, fine ...

Re: Battery hole filler cover

Never heard of or seen one, but why don't you carefully open it and remove the cells before gluing it back together? If you cut it open from the side where the connector is, nobody will notice it, even if you goof a bit. I was just wanting to know because the lenovo platform specs lists none+3cell ...

For all such questions, compare the frubom/parts lists of those machines. You'll find that the answer is YES. From xx30 series onward, these PDF-files have to be downloaded separately from the HMM. Looking at the specs for the x260 and it only has one ram slot? Also if i deside to go with the i3-6006u/i3-6100u over the i5-6200U would I be looking at the best battery life since it has no turbo boost? Blame Micro$haft's W10, because it doesn't fully switch off when you shut down. Unless you fix it in the power options. No it can only handle vga+internal or displayport+internal or displayport+displayport+internal (via docking station) on Intel graphics machines Just need the dock with 2 displayports to be able to output to two monitors and the built in screen at the same time.... I like being able to boot to any snapshot including a new clean install at will. I like never having to update Windows unless it serve...
