Re: RE: Re: T61 running W10 64bit -- Two problems

Just removed the old 4965 AGN wifi card from this T61 and installed the 6300 AGN Ultimate. Connected to my network on the 5GHz band. Will see if my BSOD's are resolved, but I won't be confident unless I go 3 months without one. Even a week or two would be reason to be optimistic. It has been 13 day...

Re: High efficiency GRAPHENE assisted cooling

I had read that graphene's improved heat transfer rate is in the plane of a sample, not through it. How thick is this sample? The accelerator community would be interested in ~1000 ugram/cm^2 for stripper foils. The problem with the samples I've seen is that they are not dimensionally stable under b...

Re: T61 running W10 64bit -- Two problems

BSODs appeared on my T61 (with Middleton) after installing the 4965AGN and turning n on. Turning it off seems to stop the BSODs, but it also cuts my SPEEDTEST score by almost half.

Re: To Middleton my BIOS or not

It was the only way to get the wifi card that I bought on ebay to work, plus I hated the FN/Ctrl placement. SSD may be better, I haven't checked.

You might put it in a box with an ozone generator. Servepro uses big ones to deodor after house fires. Warning that ozone is hard on plastic, however.

Re: Thinkpad 701c (pic warning)

Takes me wayback to the 700c I found in salvage at a DOE plant back in the late 90's. We used it to adjust the setup on control systems of our accelerator, since our budget wasn't going to let me get a newer laptop.

Re: How to do middleton's bios properly?

Update: Yeah! Worked great. Thanks so much. Now if I could just get the touchpad the way I want it. For some reason, it doesn't want to cursor Left. Right, Up, Down are fine. I've replaced the touchpad unit already (had the broken left button I've sen a lot about). Tried a lot of settings on the Ult...

Re: How to do middleton's bios properly?

Sorry to bring back up an old thread, but this one has the basics of my question. My T61 14.1 Wide was purchased pre-loaded with Windows 10 (I'm learning 10, and it is starting to grow on me.) It has only an AG WIFI card, however. I have an AGN to replace it with, but need the whitelist removed (wou...
