I opened it up to take a look at the mini-PCIe region and there isn't a WWAN slot available.
So i guess WWAN is definitely out the question.
The only thing i don't understand is the presence of the protruded WWAN antenna since WWAN isn't available on my particular unit...
I don't think its a plug-in type, rather it has to be soldered. Hi! I got a Thinkpad X60 (1706-C92) lying around in my drawer for quite sometime, as my secondary notebook. There is a WWAN antenna available at the top right corner of the LCD display. However, there isn't a SIM card reader available (SIM placeholder available on motherboard) besides the DIMM slots...
