X60s not charging with X6 Ultrabase attached
I don't know what I did wrong. I docked my X60s into X6 Ultrabase, and I plugged the AC adapter into the X6 Ultrabase, and my laptop battery does not charge. I could charge my battery only with the docking is removed and AC adapter plugged directly into the laptop. Please help. Thanks

now the hp nc2400 has ULV Duo Core CPU plus DVD burner
This is a catch is that now the hp nc2400 has ULV Duo Core CPU plus DVD burner. This seems to me is going to be a big improvement over Core Solo. With 3 , 6, and 9 cell battery which lasts 3, 6, and 9 hours respectively. Seems to me hp has everything that Sony and Panasonic lacked of (Duo Core), and...

IMO the keyboard in the Macbook is much better than the Macbook Pro. The Macbook keyboard has a very tactile feel to it similar to the Thinkpad keyboard. The Macbook Pro keyboard is way too light and sensitive when pressing down for my taste. At time I click the key twice without knowing that I did....

I had both 14" and 15" model of T60p. I ended up returned both of them and got me a Mac Book Pro, with 20% student discount. The design of the Mac is impecable which no pc laptop out there could even come close to it. Also the keyboard is back lit and glows in the dark, which none of the laptop out ...

Thanks for the advice Redskin. It's a tricky choice because I do have access to the EPP discount, but I am definitely leaning towards the 8240. As I don't really care about a security chip, the following model looks appealing: http://h71016.www7.hp.com/dstore/MiddleFrame.asp?page=config&ProductLine...

Wanted to say one more thing. Currently I am torn between the T43p and the HP nw8240. There's no way I'll be buying the z60m. I can get EPP on the T43p, but I am currently in Japan, and I can't call IBMs numbers (their 800 number does not accept intl calls, even if I pay for it). Does anyone know a...

I am in your same boat. I am about to do a clean install of xp and I am wondering if removing the extra bloat, ie norton, franklin covey etc will make a difference in performance. Yes, it will. I tried an NC8230 as well as an NW8240 because I, too, found the specs appealing. however, I found the screens on both to be terribly crystalized and very dim (due to HP's Panel Protection system), and the keyboard seemed lifeless. in addition, the mouse buttons were way too small and difficult to ...

It's easy. All you have to do is buy any internal 2.5" hard drive fom factor and stick it into an external hard drive portable housing and you are done. For hard drive it's easy because it doesn't consume a lot of power, so therefore it can just use the usb port as its power without using the extern...

Now I am confused. You also said that you then proceded to install just the drivers that we...
