Re: Giving some love to my X61

It is, indeed, but does it matter? Probably not, at least for my use case. I never experienced problems with the slightly oddball 50Hz of an SXGA+ tablet, either.

Re: Giving some love to my X61

Update: I'll need a license to use the bridge for more than 4h, but the license is free. So I just ordered a screen and the conversion board. For everyone interested in details: I'll try Lattice CrossLink, using the LIF-MD6000 – Master Link Board and the OpenLDI LVDS to MIPI DSI Display Interface Br...

Re: Giving some love to my X61

No, I haven't got a screen yet, I started by contacting the Lattice guys about the 4h limit and licensing fees mentioned in the user guide of the OpenLDI LVDS to MIPI DSI interface bridge.

There's a second screen in the bay still.

Re: Giving some love to my X61

And since you mentioned 12.3, there's a UXGA panel available. That would be fantastic. It does have a touchscreen and probably need a mod to be used. Oh, I see I somehow forgot to mention UXGA. This is exactly what I'm planning to do. :) Although I don't need a touchscreen so I probably won't conne...

Re: Giving some love to my X61

Project not yet abandoned, but I don't really use my X61 a lot anymore. Still more possibly impossible ideas. Ideas: [*] Any other panels other than the ones from X61T to consider? I'm fine with 1024x768, and 1400x1050 is only one existing panel. Nothing really beats the 1050p one as far as real es...

The X6x* support the parallel/serial port ultrabay adapter, too, through the ultrabase (portable docking station).

Re: T70 with Quad Core i7 mobo for T6x is coming!!

Thanks for the PDFs! Would you mind to export the 14" instructions, too?

I'm still searching for an UXGA screen for mine but that seems to be pretty unobtainable these days.

Re: T70 with Quad Core i7 mobo for T6x is coming!!

Nice to see a board in the wild. I'm still waiting for mine. This is from the first batch. I wanted to order one right away because it was uncertain if future runs would still use the CM236 chipset like the first one, or downgrade to HM170 with 4 fewer PCI-E lanes. The reduced lane count would mean ...

Re: T70 with Quad Core i7 mobo for T6x is coming!!

i5 option is nice.. Does anyone know if a ultrabay battery will work properly with this motherboard? Definitely not. Look at a T6x board and you will see three connectors directing to the ultrabay: Battery port (identical to the one for the primary battery), serial port (for the ultrabay serial ada...
