Re: Adding internal USB sockets into an X250/260?

Tried it today on my X250 using a NGFF B key to Mini PCI-E adapter attached to one of the Mini PCI-E to USB adaptors. Sadly I get an Error 2010 on boot which is a BIOS error with the BIOS detecting it as a faulty mSATA drive. Updated to the latest BIOS and still get the same error. Tried the Mini P...

Welcome!

If this X270 still has warranty remaining if it was me I would call for service.

Brad
I assumed this was not an option, but definitely this if you have warranty still. It's what they have it for!

Re: X270 Reset error (platform reset not de-asserted)

Hi, My X270 stopped working, it does a smart beep code and displays nothing when powered on. The smart beep code leads to this: Reset error (platform reset not de-asserted) 1. Remove all power resources (the ac power adapter, removable battery, and coin-cell battery). If your computer has a built-i...

What are the biggest differences between the 3 besides the CPU and trackpad? I'm deciding on one to replace my T440s (since it maybe going to my mum) I'm not wanting a powerful one and only need 8GB of ram also since these machines might not include the bridge battery and if there isn't, is there a...

Re: Adding internal USB sockets into an X250/260?

I'm thinking of picking up an X250 or 260 but wondering if it's possible to add an internal usb socket inside the laptop. I've searched around online and seen mention that a Mini PCI-E to USB adaptor like this or this might do the job if I replace the WWAN or M.2 SSD with one. The only concern I ha...

I advise fans of Chrome to look at Chromium. I'm sitting on it and he's cool. Especially the 62.0+ version, which is built on the best quality version of Google engine. :help: If we are to suggest Chromium though, why not a slightly more polished version of the same browser, such as Brave. An additional thank you goes to a forum user, Screamer, for his two non-Thinkpad trades.

He (and family) are very flexible and it's helped me get a few things I wouldn't have access to otherwise. Thanks!

However, if there was a sale made then please lock this post. Hope your buyer enjoys this machine as much as mine did!
