I hope it isn't to late.. i'm having issues with the touchscreen after installing Win10, simply won´t work.
I run the diagnostic from Lenovo website and it says it´s up to date.

Please give me a light!
I think the X220 doesn't have touch screen functionality? :D

Look, its easy, personal machines have to run linux, work machines provided by your employer mainly will run Windows, go for W10, ask admin password to remove as much crap and telemetry as possible and move on. Do not do personal computing on the corporate machine. Enjoy life and drink a beer, salud...

Re: You can say bye to your classic Thinkpad soon

Use Debian. It just works. The distribution focuses on keeping software versions stable between major releases. Ubuntu is going down the same path as Windows. There is absolutely zero reason to use any of the Debian derivatives these days. Every layer added on top of Debian introduces a layer of se...

Re: Want to try Linux on X220 with mSATA SSD

Since you will have 2 separate drives, it is possible to install Linux on your new mSATA SSD without touching anything on your main 2.5 inch HDD. To prevent any possibility of screwing up, simply put the mSATA SSD in, remove the 2.5 inch HDD, and install Linux as if it's your only OS. When the inst...

Re: OG XBOX CMOS

AFAIK on laptops nobody uses a capacitor to keep the time/date, they all use CMOS. (And I know nothing about XBOX). Which makes your post a bit confusing, because you keep talking about CMOS and keeping time and removing a capacitor... According to this post , if you remove that cap, it won't boot....

All these commands shown are perfectly working under Linux WSL2. The actual flashing of your EC is done via booting from USB. Sounds interesting. Never tried it. So what would OP need to do? Re: t440s UEFI

Yes, you can convert MBR to GPT, but GPT does not mean UEFI. When you deploy Windows to a UEFI-based device, you must format the hard drive that includes the Windows partition by using a GUID partition table (GPT) file system. Additional drives may use either the GPT or the master boot record (MBR)...
