Re: X60 board in an X60s chassis?

Okay here's an update after finishing everything; I managed to successfully drop the motherboard into the chassis without much issue, except the 4-pin connector on the x61s fansink... wasn't something I really knew how to deal with conveniently -- I simply decided to trim the extra connector off (si...

Re: X60 board in an X60s chassis?

If you can get an X61 chassis and heatsink, do so. The X61 heatsink in particular is much better than the X60 one. The X61 chassis has a few more vent holes, like in the right palmrest. Still, I'm not completely closing the door on the X60s chassis-- if you had one with a Core 2 Duo CPU I'd definit...

Information on the 750CE? *Warning: contains pictures*

So, I happened to stumble upon one of these for sale... I immediately grabbed it due to it being such a bargain -- for some reason my brain thought it was a 75 5 CE. After realizing I made a stupid mistake, I went to research this machine and could not even find entries on the thinkwiki, let alone e...

Re: X60 board in an X60s chassis?

A few questions: 1. Do you already have an X60 with Core Duo T2500? If yes, why do you want to put it in an X60s chassis? Also, what are the CPU temps at idle and at full load? 2. If no, are you trying to upgrade an X60s that you already own? Why not get an X61s board instead? An L7700 should be ab...

X60 board in an X60s chassis?

So I've tried to find scenarios of people doing this -- maybe I missed some keywords in my searches, no idea... but I can only seem to find threads of people doing the reverse (X60s->X60 chassis). I'm wondering if it's possible to safely have a (2.0GHz) T2500 X60 board in the s model, since I've rea...

I don't know how crucial is the board, but got a great shaped X201s up for sale (w/ 1440x900 LED display and the top i7-640LM CPU).

I have sold my X200s two weeks ago. Yes, with SL9600 board.
Nooooooo!!!! Haha, I was so close yet so far away... unfortunately I do need with an SL9600 :(

How about an X301 with SU9400 & 1440 x 900 WXGA+, LED backlit ?
Sorry, the board is a lot more important to me than having 3:2 :P

Is it ok if I let a few of my friends know about your X301, though? :)

Re: WTB: ThinkPad iSeries s31 (piano black)

welcome to the forum.. i have an S30, piano black, prototype with USA keyboard.. Thanks for the welcome! I've messaged another user on here who, to my amazement, effectively has everything about his s31, in mint. However, if it turns out that he sold everything/changed his mind and no longer wishes...
