Re: T60p CPU upgrade: Now Laptop Won't Start

Either you got a bad CPU or the reassembly was not proper. At least now you know what the problem is. Happens to all of us. Most common for me is I forgot to tighten down the CPU in its socket. I'm trying to think of what cords I could have possibly forgot to plug back in. I got little grey cord an...

T60p CPU upgrade: Now Laptop Won't Start

Replaced the T2500 with a T7600 2.33ghz Core 2 Duo. Now when I power it on, the indication lights come on and the fan spins for a quick second, then stops and most of the indication lights turn back off. During this process, the screen never comes on; it just stays black, no light. I'm hoping I simp...

Re: Help - How to get drivers for Radeon x1400?

Got it solved. Need a new processor, which came in today. Upgrading to a T7600. Unfortunately I messed something up because now my T60 won't start. Gonna make a thread about it and hopefully it was just something I didnt plug back in or insert correctly.

Re: Help - How to get drivers for Radeon x1400?

Don't the Linux Mint forums have any hints about this? In case it helps, I have two X32 using Debian and I installed the drivers following this instructions: https://wiki.debian.org/AtiHowTo I'm aware my X32 uses a different graphic card (ATI Mobility Radeon 7000) but the link above may help... No ...

Re: Help - How to get drivers for Radeon x1400?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am using Linux Mint 19. There are no drivers on that page for Linux.

Hoping there is an alternative to the OpenGL problem, as I haven't found a solution yet.

Help - How to get drivers for Radeon x1400?

Some games are having trouble running on my T60 that would otherwise run under Windows XP. When trying to open Portal via Steam, an error pops up that says: -- Could not find required OpenG: entry point 'glColorMaskIndexedEXT' ! Either your video card is unsupported, or your OpenGL driver needs to b...

15" T60p: What is a good price?

I have the option to buy a 15" T60p in good condition, with a 1600×1200 UXGA and the FireGL V5200. What amount would be too much to pay for it? I live in the US.

LF: T60 15.0" 4:3

I bought what was described as a 15" T60 on Ebay, but found out through reddit after posting a picture of it that it is actually a 14". So after being burned on that deal, I'm back on the market for a 15" variant...

Relieved to hear this. I sent you a message to the e-mail posted on theboardroom.info (my e-mail has the name "yadad" in it) with interest in purchasing one of these boards. Thank you for doing this for the legacy thinkpad community and it's awesome that you took a case with you during your travels!

Re: LF: T61( 44C3924) mobo with new nVidia NVS140M chip

Ouch. Well, I'll go ahead and max out the stock mobo I have right now in my T60, then if he gets to the point where he checks his E-mail (not his forum inbox), I can always Ebay my upgraded mobo if I purchase one of his T61 mobos.

LF: T61( 44C3924) mobo with new nVidia NVS140M chip

I've decided to try and put together a T601F. I shot an Email out to the person who sells them thanks to an Admin here who linked me straight to info regarding the T61 mother boards. However, the E-mail was sent a couple of days ago and I don't know how frequently he checks his inbox, so I am making...

Disadvantages of T61 mobo in T60?

I have a Thinkpad T60 that I was planning on upgrading the CPU (T2500 2.0ghz Core Duo to T7600 2.33ghz Core 2 Duo), RAM (1 GB to 3 GB), and storage (80GB HDD to an SSD). However, I've recently been looking into the idea of a Frankenpad, specifically the transplant of a 14" 4:3 T61 motherboard into m...
