I fixed the overheating problem, I then changed the OS to Lubutu,since this computer is so old and has so little memory. Now I have a new problem. When the computer is up and running the GPU is reading 151F / 66C. The cooling fans are turning a few hundred RPM. If I stress test the computer the unit will reboot several times. I installed a 2" square 12 VDC fan on top of the GPU heat sink and the temp dropped to 94F / 34.8C. A lot better. I sti...

I remembered that I have an electronics heat testing device that pin point heats components to test for failure/operation. The "air temp" sensor dose in fact work. Why it is in front of the CPU on a stalk is beyond me as it serves no function on the GPU heat sensing. I could move it to the heat sink...
