Re: WANTED: Lenovo External Keyboard (SK 8835 8840 8845 8855)

I managed after a few months of searching to find an SK-8845 on the Japanese Mercari site for about 8000 JPY. The enter key feels a little weird sometimes but overall it works well. But you may not be able to order from Mercari Japan if you're outside of Japan. The first time I tried to set up an ac...

Re: x2100 Crash on Wake From Sleep (Win10)

My experience with the x2100 is sometimes it will wake from sleep properly when opening the lid. Sometimes it shuts off and reboots. If I use the keyboard instead, I have not had much success in getting it to wake from sleep without rebooting. I suspect from what I've seen with Windows Updates activ...

Re: Getting new x2100 display and accessories

Other than Xue Yao the only guy I'm aware of selling the x2100 outside of China is Jacky of LCDFans/CNMOD. His website is below. Back in 2021, a month or two after getting my x2100 from Xue Yao, I had to send it back to him for a motherboard replacement, and I ordered a backup x210 3rd generation fr...

Re: X2100 Display Port via USB-C alternate mode

When I first tried using the USB-C port for display, I had a lot of trouble getting consistent results. Later it more or less settled into sort of reliable, but what I've found is one monitor (Philips brand) generally works fine, but another (I-O data) often says no signal, or goes blank, and this h...

Re: x230 Can't find correct edp cable for 2k 16:10 from xytech

I bought a kit from xytech a few months ago and had this project set aside as I had to wait for a friend to solder my adapter. I've realized that I probably got scammed as I was sent the wrong display. I ordered a "2k 16:10" display but it turned out to be another display which wasn't the "AUO B133...

Re: Windows7 drivers for X2100 4th gen

Sorry, somehow I missed this post early this year--I guess in the first-quarter rush I overlooked it. I would definitely be interested if you can get that working Win7 ISO to me somehow--a Dropbox link or something like that. I have a couple Win7 pro installer disks but was never able to get it to ...

X2100 3k x 2k display gone bad

Just for everyone's info, the 2k display on my x2100 (received from Xue Yao in mid-2021) seems to have gone bad recently. There's a roughly 3.5cm bar at the left that started showing grey flickers at times, and now is displaying a variety of similar glitchy behavior--sometimes it works, sometimes it...

Re: Windows7 drivers for X2100 4th gen

If you are still looking for a working Win7.iso I can upload one. I just installed Win7 to my x2100 and Im in the process of trying to install the new Bios as well as get the video card working properly. It seems like 3000x2000 resolution is making the icons almost like specs of dust, they are so t...

Re: Windows7 drivers for X2100 4th gen

Windows 7 install was really straight forwards. I installed the non sp1 version first but I couldn’t find updates. I then installed the latest Sp1. Since then I’ve installed the SP1 version so that I can run updates. Two thing to note tho: - I had to install Win 7 to a normal Sata SSD. It can’t see...

Re: Is Jacky responding to anyone else?

FYI I got my order from Jacky last week--took maybe one month from the time I ordered to the time he shipped, then maybe a week and a half or two weeks for transit. Jacky is a legit modder/seller. His English is a bit rough so there may be communication problems, and his site says he can ship "in st...

Re: x2100 BIOS guide or at least text version of full menus and options tree?

Well, Xue Yao got back to me and it sounds like it's probably a bad board. Good news is he has some spares saved just for this sort of situation. Anyway gonna do one last ditch attempt and if it doesn't turn on, send it back.

Re: Is Jacky responding to anyone else?

I emailed him last week and he said he had one 3rd generation x210 board with the i7-8650u left. Is that what he told you, or was that a different one? Had some emails back and forth clarifying what the specs for a full laptop would be and he was pretty quick to respond. It then took a couple days t...

Re: x2100 BIOS guide or at least text version of full menus and options tree?

Before the crash/freeze, the computer would start up immediately. I tried with and without the CMOS battery so that has nothing to do with it. I don't know exactly how long I waited at max, but at least 30 seconds, maybe a minute, maybe two. Don't think there's any point in waiting longer. I did get...

Re: x2100 BIOS guide or at least text version of full menus and options tree?

Oh wow, Tokyo, Japan :) X2100 have spread quite a bit! How's yours working? Which screen have you got? Who assembled yours? Did you take the plunge to do BIOS upgrades yet or did you choose to play it safe and leave on whichever BIOS it was? Re guide, I haven't seen one yet. I suppose we could try ...

x2100 BIOS guide or at least text version of full menus and options tree?

Anyone know where to find a guide to the x2100 bios or a text printout of all the bios menu items and options? Would be nice to see everything available at once instead of having to click into one item at a time, so I can figure out how to find my way around this thing and what all the options do.

Re: Windows7 drivers for X2100 4th gen

So sorry- I’ve led you on a wild goose chase here. I thought you were trying to multiboot, and I find OpenCore a nice ui for selecting the OS’s. Do you think it could need the cpu thermal compound re-pasting? No apology necessary--any possible solutions are worth looking into, as right now I can't ...

Re: Windows7 drivers for X2100 4th gen

Oh one more thing to mention too! I couldn’t get Windows 7 to boot through the OpenCore selector at boot, but I managed to do it through windows 10 boot menu. So to select windows 7, I turn on the machine, the OpenCore menu pops up. I select Windows. Then the windows boot manager shows and you sele...

Re: Windows7 drivers for X2100 4th gen

Does anyone know if its possible to get drivers for Windows 7 for the X2100 51nb 4th generation motherboard? In particular I want to get the USB hub working. I absolutely love the X2100, I've set it up to boot Windows 7, Windows 10, Manjaro and Mac OS Big Sur. I use Windows 7 for car diagnostics, b...
