I've heard from techs that data corruption and damage happens at a very high rate to the newer high capacity 2.5" drives, not sure if it is related to speed, but the denser platters apparently wear out

you might have enabled sticky keys by accident, that happens when you press shift 5 or 6 times in quick succession

can't remember how to turn it off off-hand, but I don't think your keyboard is broken :)

Yeah, I want to give it a shot though. I'm confident I can make it playable, it is my hobby to see how far I can push my T23. Its annoying that the bungie people went so far out of their way to deny me the chance.

it is officially unsupported, but the only thing that stops it from running is a check that it executes when it starts up. if someone knew how to bypass this the game would work fine with certain settings disabled. it is possible to start it in safe mode then change all the settings manually each ti...

empty ultrabay hdd caddy causing bios delay?

Hey guys, I recently picked up an ultrabay 2000 hard disk caddy for my t23, (now I've got a 7k60 plus the original 40gb drive), anywho... I prefer to leave the caddy empty to decrase weight (as opposed to with the hard disk in it or a combo drive) while traveling but for whatever reason it is adding...

I've ordered a set of extras and gave the soft dome a shot. I that with the soft dome I'm able to set the trackpoint to a much higher speed and control it more accurately than with the classic cats tongue. Although it doesn't grip as well when my hand sweats and it seems to be sort of coushy it is d...

That is excellent for 236 cycles, I didn't take notice of the cycles of the battery that came with my used T23 for a while. Apparently after a few months of use it had 12 cycles I think and was first used in January 05, it held a nearly perfect charge. Off the top of my head I think its lost 2mwh.

Yeah, the main reason I want them is because with reasonable force you can pull out the hard disk thing, the maintenance manual just refers to it as a "security screw" within the "screw kit" under #26P9654

There are two, one which holds the hard disk casing with the IR port and audio jacks in place and one which holds the ultrabay disk in place. You'll notice empty holes for these on the bottom of m ost T2x series I think. I nearly got my hands on these but apparently the ones for the T30 are too long...

WTB T2x parts; 1.2Ghz PPGA PIIIm, more

Hey guys, I know some of you must have T2x series parts lying around. I'm looking for a working 1200 or 1266mhz 478 pin Pentium IIIm for my T23. I had a brand new in box one pending on ebay but the seller seems to have disappeared. I'd much rather buy from you guys anyways. As you can see in my sign...

This may seem strange, but I've seen the exact same screen while trying to install SuSE 7.2 on a Toughbook CF-25. It was caused by lilo not being installed correctly, for me it wanted to boot the system from a floppy disk.
