Thanks to TitoLabieno, hwinfo reports temps close to TPFC. RMClock is a couple of degrees above, so it didn't bother me.

Reading CPU temp on a T60 with TPFC and RightMark CPU Clock Utility

Hi, i have finished to setup a T60 on Windows 7 32-bit with the guide found on this forum to make it run cooler. I have one final issue to face, cpu temps differ between TPFC and RMClock Utility. Which one i have to consider trusty and which should be tuned with an offset? Another question: i didn't...

Re: Need help with DVD-burner not working on T60

Hi, There used to be CD/DVD cleaning kits supposedly cleaning the lens with soft bristles. Also the lens itself can be replaced on some slim units if you can find a compatible one. Maybe a second hand working donor unit to experiment with swapping the lens. Also the drives themselves have firmware ...

Best Thinkpad for value eGPU

Hi, i was lurking a famous site for eGPU builds, and i was wondering which value Thinkpad is the best for eGPU build? The minimum specs should be: 1) Expresscard/54 (mPCI solution's involve cables through the case and thunderbolt means most recent models that are quite expensive); 2) At least 8Gb of...

Re: How to estimate a Sony Vaio for sell?

Probably best to sell as-is for whatever you can get for it. Investing in upgrades will not likely give a better net return. Only upgrade if you are going to use it and get some value out of the cost of upgrades. I decided to give it to my sister-in-law, they fund the upgrades and use it connected ...

Re: How to estimate a Sony Vaio for sell?

I googled based on the video card and this is a 1st or 2nd gen Intel laptop, clues include esata which tended to disappear around 3rd 4th gen. Lets be realistic. A 10 yr old laptop with a dead battery? Even if it was a Lenovo T410 510 420 520 what would you pay? At best $200 usd? Closer to $100 usd...

Check the MTM at the etop of the page and input your model number...it will then list all the original factory specs as shipped.

Hi guys, after the T440p i've placed a bid on a T60 on ebay for 20€+shipping, and guess what? I won! But the laptop comes without many parts, no hdd, no dvd drive, no battery. I want to buy cheap parts to upgrade and probably sell it. How much can i ask for a full upgraded one? Like, 4Gb ram, T7200,...

The baby is here! Because the clunkpad does not work properly (no click at all) the seller refund me 25€. With that, i can order a "real" trackpad with buttons. Panel is ok to be a TN, no dead pixel. Main drive replaced with SSD, ordered 4Gb ram and an Ultrabay caddy for the second drive. Next move ...

Re: New user of T440p on the way home

Are the 'compatible' panels really that bad? Even the lowest quality 1920x1080 IPS panel is going to be a step up from the original TN panel your laptop shipped with. I tried to find a reputable supplier for weeks before giving up. I took a chance on the cheapest ebay listing for an IPS panel and i...
