I returned my T43 and ordered T42 at newegg.com ! I can't believe they have ready to ship IBM laptop but no full refund though. Anyway, I got T42 manufactured last June 2005 so it has a quiet fan. My T43 is august edition I believe. Just sent it back last Sept 16th

I tried to adjust myself with this T43 fan noise, but I can't tolerate it. I can hear it anywhere I am. So puffffff.... going back to IBM.

Our T42 have same problem. Software eject works but NOT pressing the eject button.

Well, the noise in T43 though not too loud, it is annoying and it is producing a DECIBEL that a Mind or Ears can't tolerate

This is what puzzles me. My co worker have T42 with FPR but it's only like LEVEL 3-4 IMHO. I have to check the Model, but he's on the way for a meeting LOL.
