Yeah, you also need WWAN antennae, otherwise no carrier signal reception.
WWAN antennae is usually housed above your LCD display.

You need to check!

(We usually buy our key man units with WWAN direclty from Lenovo/ThinkPad;
saves the hassle if/when WWAN is desired at a later stage...)
