Re: X1 Extreme (Gen 1) Problems
Greetings! I've used my X1 Extreme Gen 1 as my daily driver for 2 years, bringing it to/back from work everyday... It works just fine! No issues at all :) I then switched to X1 Extreme Gen 3 as my daily driver for 2 years, bringing it to/back from work everyday... It also works just fine! No issues ...

Re: X1 Extreme 5 gen sleeping problms
Try this: Put your computer into "Airplane Mode" to see if this stops your computer from waking up. My X1E3 had a similar issue, and this "Airplane Mode" worked for me. I consider this a workaround, but it works! (Also: My X1E1 never had this waking up from sleep issue). Why : When we switched off o...

Re: X1C6 UHD vs FHD screen power consumption
The general rule of thumb going from UHD (ie: 4k) to FHD (1080p) for 16:9 LCD screens is that you generally double your real life usable battery life. For example, I've got basically same spec X1 Extreme Gen 1 (UHK/4k OLED screen), and went to X1 Extreme Gen 3 (FHD 1080p) screen, and it's doubled my...

Re: Added 2nd SSD and computer wouldn't boot
So did this work out for you? 1. I've learnt from my T42 days that cloning a 2nd SSD, then adding both original SSD + cloned SSD into same computer, and you cannot boot from computer. But I'm sure that's not your issue observed... 2. Also, my experience with my X1 Extreme Gen 3, moving the SSD with ...

Why must everyone get the newest and latest Windows, ASAP? Why not upgrade (if you must) from Windows 10 in 2024 (hopefully later--if there's more MS Windows Update extension). We have X1C4 (X1 Carbon Gen 4), and can confirm that it supports NVMe SSD for both 1 TB, and also 2 TB, done via Product Recovery. We also have X1C3 (X1 Carbon Gen 3) which *does*not* support NVMe, because it uses a tech deadend ACHI interface of dual sided SSD which is out of production, we did not...
