If you don't use your microphone at all, you can simply disable your microphone from BIOS (before boot-up).
Good luck!

Re: T410 Finger print scanner

Our T410 running Windows 7 Pro is running just fine, and our HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 series all connected to our WiFi router.

We can tell our HP OfficeJet to remote scanning to PDF to your computer or email program.

ie: Yes, you can connect scanner to T410, and ours is running very reliably!

It would probably be best if you email contact Lenovo/Thinkpad to ensure that your T470s is compatible with this 135W Thinkpad Ultra Dock (40A20135EU), since we also did not...

Pascal_TTH is right, you need to check (or even phone Lenovo/Thinkpad sales hotline) to confirm this: "If you want to use your old 1 TB SSD, you have to order a T570 with a SATA 2,5" storage like the default HDD. Nice choice on your X1C4 ;)

We bought our X1C4 because:
~Last model to support Windows 7 with Windows Update (we plan to use Win7 until supports ends in 2020)
~NVMe SSD support for future-proof storage
~16 GB RAM (first X1 Carbon model to support 16 GB RAM)

Do enjoy your X1C4 ;)
