I'd just like to say... I know you are talking about a T61.... But since it was a comparison with an HP, I thought I'd chime in. (1) I have a T60p.... 2007-94u.... I'm having "extended warranty --on-site service" over tomorrow to look at (a) SERIOUS Heat Problems; (2) Audio out Problems; (3) Video C...

XP fails to see USB hardware & install drivers - WORKARO

This is a compilation from a recent thread started by DavidR. It describes a "USB/Windows XP Drivers" problem a lot of people seem to be having with 32bit XP, and gives an effective work around that DavidR came up with.... helped me a lot. ## PROBLEM SYMPTOMS (1) Windows fails to recognize and load ...

It is a work-around, but it works. Drove me nuts for a while until I had a brainstorm one night while driving home. Course, I've had many "brainstroms" on this issue that did not pan out. I've used it for usb flash drives, mice, cameras and usb hard drives. There's gotta be a registry entry that po...

Re: Upgrade to Merom

Well, i could be wrong, but the only 2gb ram chip from lenovo is 2GB PC2-4200 CL4 NP DDR2 SDRAM SODIMM, and the 1gb chips we all use is 1GB PC2-5300 CL5 DDR2 SDRAM SODIMM, so i imagine they sent you a PC2-4200 2gb chip, while nice is most likely slowing down the whole system.
