Those docks exist already, there is a company that makes them for cell phones and other gadgets with rechargeable batteries and certain electric toothbrushes have been using induction mounts for quite some time now. It's quite possible, within a very limited range and, ideally, little interference. ...

Welcome to the Thinkpad Forum :) Hmmm, that rather sounds more like a hardware issue with the planar. So I don't think much in the way of software aid is going to do it. Have you tried a different HDD in there? One of the things that I have seen cause issues like this, which can be varied, is a fail...

Well, it depends on the type of keyboard that you get. There are three types available for the T4X Series of Thinkpads. Although it sounds as if you gave the one that came on yours quite the wear. :)

I don't quite know what the critical shutdown temperature for the GPU core is, but if it starts getti...

To me, that would indicate a power draw issue with the USB ports. A rather serious problem given that, should proper power management not occur with the USB ports, the device attached, especially an external HDD which would require a significant amount of power during spin-up ops could pull more thr...

I have been using AVG Pro 7.5 and, more recently, Prevx for certain sites and they have all been pretty good. AVG for depth and lightweight and Prevx for catching things that I really didn't pick up with other scanning packages, which is how I came to use it in the first place. :)

I would also recommend the SD600; the one I had for a little while was a *superb* little camera. The same goes for much of the SD line from Canon in the first place. :)

You get a lot of niggling problems in such a HDD swap in the beginning. From a T41 to, say, a T42 would be slightly easier because you wouldn't have to deal with the hardware differences that a T43 presents. The biggest ones that you would have to deal with include the SATA power management driver, ...

Pentium M is a far more efficient and capable processor than a Pentium 4-M. Odds are that you can get equivalent performance out of a Pentium M processor with a lower clock speed than with a Pentium 4-M, and at the same time have a battery life greater than an hour. Both, however, are far superior ...
