If Toyota owned GM and Ford, both would now be making automobiles that people want and of course afford and not paying idle workers to lounge in labor pools watching tv. If the Chinese were to produce a 30 dollar windows emulator, I would buy it in a blink of an eye. Scruw that billionaire skinny ne...

I bought a used screen on Ebay that also leaks a lot of light at the bottom. I looked the panel over but could not find anyway to solve the problem. I suppose if the screen gets twisted, the relector gets bent, thus letting light pass over the entire edge of the lcd laminate. It's on a spare T-21 so...

It *looks* easy to swap out, are there any tricks? Remove the small screw on the cmos battery holder and the two longer screws that hold the keybord down, theres one just above the main battery latch and one under the mini-pci card cover. Lift the bottom of the keyboard up and pull downward to remo...

Simple misnomer. Turn off the PM timers and let the battery run down until the system crashes. This will not fully discharge the battery, it's not a good idea to completely discharge any storage battery.

Let the battery recharge overnight, then deep cycle the battery two more times

Yes, the T-30 battery fits a T-21 but make sure you have a 72 watt charger, some chargers are 56 watt and will not completely charge the T-30 battery.

I presently have 3 T-2x series ThinkPads, all are reconstructed with used parts I bought on Ebay. I just purchased a Compaq V2403 for a Christmas present for my son, after removing all the Compaq spam the V2403 still dragged it's feet, and I felt more content owning three 5 year old ThinkPads. Only ...

I have a T-20 that shows a yellow charge indicator after charging all night. However, it does charge to 99%. The light changes to green after momentarily unplugging the charger. It has a new OEM battery and it did the same thing when using a 4 year old IBM battery. (Hardware fluke) I am not concerne...

PC100 will not work in the T23.
Read some prior threads. True, just like overclocking memory, it's a crapshoot but I used 2-256meg PC100 on my T23 last night just to see how stable it would run. Could have save some money if I had tried that before I bought 2-512 PC133.

Getting a T23 upgrade on Ebay is a very cheap solution, most of the time the systemboard is already in a base, drive caddys and cpu's included. Your old hardware is interchangable, sometimes even your PC100 ram works too.

I'd really appreciate getting FarCry or PainKiller to run on my T23. Got a AMD64/6800GT system I built last year, and it just gathers dust.
The original Myst doesnt run at all but Serious Sam runs real smooth on my T23.

I used 128meg PC100 to try out a barebones T23, it posted but not having any drives in place, thats as far as the test went.
If it did work, mixing PC100 with PC133 memory would prolly fail.

If the mouse works in another system and all IBM drivers are installed in the ThinkPad, then maybe the connection between the I/O card and systemboard is bad. You can get another systemboard/base for real cheap on Ebay.

Or you can buy a usb mouse.

I get this error, then my T21 halts on boot, pressing ESC allows boot to continue. Bios setup allows clearing certain RFID errors but problem still exists after clearing the error an re-booting.
