Sorry, it's probably no luck on the ThinkPad UltraBay Slim Serial/Parallel port adapter. Have a look at this thread:

I recently had my hands on a T60p, and I checked the connectors in the UltraBay Slim port. The T60p has a third connector, located between the regular data/power connector (for optical drives, etc.) and the battery connector. This connector is absent from the UltraBay Slim port of my T41. I can only...

I can live with the new keyboard, although the Windows keys are a useless annoyance. What really hurts, though, is the lack of a touchpad-free palm rest option. My beloved A31p never had a touchpad, and both my T42 systems have had the touchpad eliminated by swapping-in the appropriate palm rest. C'...

Dead pixels are grounds for panel replacement in some cases.

ThinkPad Serial / Parallel Port Bay Adapter in T41?
Does anyone know whether the ThinkPad Serial / Parallel Port Bay Adapter (40Y8121) would work in a T41? It's an Ultrabay Slim device, so it's a possibility...

I can understand how getting (or setting) the BIOS supervisor password could allow an attacker to clear the security chip, thereby mounting a denial-of-service attack. Ugly, and unrecoverable. On the other hand, is the passphrase information stored in the security chip itself at risk? That is to say...

I have a T41 attached to a Dock II. I am using a Radeon 9200SE (PCI) video adapter in the Dock II. This allows me to have three independent displays: 1) the internal ThinkPad LCD 2) a 19-inch LCD panel at 1280x1024 on the Dock II DVI port 3) a 20-inch LCD panel at 1600x1200 on the DVI port of the Ra...

I strongly recommend that you remove all stickers (except the ThinkPad sticker in its recess) from the palmrest immediately upon receipt of the system. The stickers will eventually wear out, and when you finally do remove them they will reveal fresh, un-worn palmrest-plastic underneath. The result w...

The 765 is the fastest Pentium M you can get with 400MHz FSB. I upgraded my T41 from 1.6GHz Banias to Pentium M 765, and I used MobileMeter to track temperatures before and after. The 765 runs about 2 celsius degrees warmer at idle than the Banias did (57-vs-55) and about 4 celsius degrees hotter at...

Get a full dock, and install a video card in it. Then you can use the ThinkPad LCD, an external monitor connected to the DVI port of the dock, and yet another monitor connected to the video card -- all at the same time.

I second the opinion of Gustavo -- sort of. I've got an A31p, upgraded to the 2.6GHz Mobile P4, with the 15" UXGA FlexView display -- and a T41, upgraded to the Pentium M 765, with the 14.1" XGA display. The T41 is as fast as my friends' T43 systems, but I do wish I had the bigger, more dense UXGA d...

I installed from a (legal) Windows XP SP2 VLM CD. When this worked before, I had installed from the ...
