Re: T410 Random Hibernation
I've got the same problem with my T410. User installed Windows 7, lastest lenovo drivers, etc. 9-cell battery. Seems very random. I'd have 85% battery left, and it would all of a sudden go into hibernation as if the critical battery level was triggered. Most days I can use the laptop on battery with...

Re: T410 Manual? How does media card reader work?
My T410 hasn't arrived yet, so I can only go by the pictures, Yes the front right slot under the lid latch is the card reader. Not sure what media it reads, but should at least read SD cards.
The slot on the right hand side next to the headphone jack is the ExpressCard/34 slot.

Re: T400 Abrupt Shutdown
Welcome to the forum! As for your restart issue, my instincts tells me it's probably one of the software you installed that isn't working well with Windows 7. Try removing Zone Alarm and AVG, and see if you still have restarts. Also to help with finding out what is causing the BSOD's, it may help to...

Re: T410s battery
According to the tabook, the T410s uses the same batteries as the T400s, and 9-cell batteries don't exist for either. Only 4 and 6 cell.

Download the drivers here: Audio drivers Run that, it'll extract the drivers. If it says you already have the files, go ahead and overwrite them. The drivers have not been installed yet. You still have to do this: 1. Click Start and then click Run. 2. Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AUDIO\SETUP.EXE in the Open ...

Yes I agree it's not a good idea if your only reason is for data safety purpose. Always have a backup of your data on a separate drive. My main reason is for organizational purposes and allows me to format the OS parition without worrying about my data. I also dual boot between Vista and XP, and it ...

Re: 160 GB Hard drive - Should I make multiple partitions?
What are the pros and cons of doing that? Are those real benefits, or imagined ones? For me, I tend to reinstall windows a lot, and I don't have to worry about saving my personal files. I can just do a format of the OS partition and reinstall windows and my personal files are still there. Of course...

Since nobody has replied, I'll try. I don't have one myself, but that drive should work fine. I don't think it'll make the fan come on less often though. However you'll notice dramatic increase in harddrive performance as SSD drives have no seek times. There is no advantage of getting the 32gb vs. t...

Why not skip the Win altogether and use Linux. Much more stable and if you are a software developer then running Linux will be np. And with Gentoo linux you get a skeleton system and you are in total control to add apps and stuff to it to get a 99% fitted system to your needs. True, but I think he ...

Have you upgraded the firmware for the harddrive? That's what fixed it for me.
Just download the ISO version, burn it on a CD and boot from it. Good luck.
