Yes I do have 4GB on C. :)

I just gave up and reinstalled XP, getting rid of the standard installation that came with the laptop. Now it works like a charm!! I took the easy (but time-consuming) way out I guess.

Hi.. thank you for your speedy reply. Will it suspend/hibernate if you remove the new RAM? What about if you remove the old RAM, leaving the new in? Just for grins, you might want to go into the BIOS setup and make sure it's configured to allow suspend/hibernate. I know you said you didn't do anythi...
