No it's not going into standby, if that were the case i'd be prompted for a password or fingerprint. The monitor is just turing off and saying no signal. If I open the lid of the laptop the screen comes right back on.

What difference does it make if your machine is running the way you want? If no CPU is saved (in my case), then there is only memory to save, and since I have spare memory, there isn't much to worry about. I once listed all my processes just to see, and there wasn't anything to remove of any conseq...

I just updated my wireless driver. After installation, Access Connections 4.11a was telling me that my wireless card was powered off. The only way I found to fix that problem was to uninstall/reinstall Access Connections. Now that I have done that, everything is working great!

Keyboard Problem

My new thinkpad seems to have a problem with the left arrow key on the keyboard. It seems to be extremely loose, and makes a very odd clicking sound when pressed. The button itself still works, but I am afraid that it will fall off soon... not to mention the sound it makes is quite annoying. I have ...

Always Plugged in?

Is it detrimental to the battery in my t43 if I leave it plugged while not in use? I always plug in my laptop as soon as I am done with it. Is this a bad thing to do?

If the stuck pixels are white and only one pixel is stuck at any given time, the problem may actually be a software bug with UltraNav. Next time you see a stuck white pixel, try positioning the cursor directly over the pixel. If a double headed arrow appears, the problem is with the UltraNav softwa...
