Yup. Used it for a week until I recieved the intel from IBM.

Nope. 91P7301 is labled on the device. This is an a/b/g .

I would vote for seagate. Five years of warrenty is worth plenty. The drive is super quiet and superdupper fast....

I am looking to get a roller bag for my TP. Has anyone used or is using the IBM one? How is the quality? It sells for $133 on Lenovo site. I am just wondering if it is worth it?

I replaced my 60g Hitachi drive with a Seagate 100g drive. All I can say I never haer the drive and it is fast as anything. There was a five dollar price differance between the 100g Hitachi and Seagate. But the plus for Seagate was FIVE year warrenty as apposed to Hitachi's three year. my two cents...

No problem here. Things went very smooth. I must say that I was a little frightened. 4.11 was my worst nighmare. I did not want those troubles again. This version is very nice.

I have a T42P. So all I have to do is get a new palmrest with the FP sensor and software to get it to work? no. you need a T42 board which has support for the reader, not all of them did. If your system didnt have it in the first place, you need a new board. :( That stinks. I wanted to tinker with ...

Well, I have an update. I can say that it works quite well. After searching around, things are just peachy. As for being slow, NO WAY!!!!. This things zips along quite nicely. Wireless and wired networking worked great. All I had to do is drop the firmware drivers into /lib/firmware. Start the netwo...

I downloaded it from LSU. It took almost a 20 hours to do so. But it worked, slowly. I installed the DVD on my T42P. The display was not recognized. So I chose a generic display. How can you tell what temp your chip is? Is this part of the standard IBM load? Where is it in the menu?

Mike, that does sound weird, have you tried the seagate site support faq's? I did check seagates website and no updates are available. I do not think it is the drive.
