T550 with only Intel HD 5500 graphics - can this drive 4k monitor and 2880 × 1620 laptop screen?

Contemplating a T550 with 2880 × 1620 resolution and Intel HD 5500 integrated graphics (no discrete graphics). Can this drive the 2880x1620 laptop screen and a 4k monitor (at 4k resolution) in extended desktop mode?

Thanks. Better than nothing, to be sure, but a hassle when contacting multiple ebay sellers. Most don't want to give you their laptop serial number.

Determining screen resolution and discrete graphics when searching ebay/FB Mktplace for used Thinkpads?

Shopping for a used T450 or T460. What's the easiest way to figure out the screen resolution and whether the laptop has discrete graphics (sellers often don't include this information; some aren't even familiar with these details)? I enter the machine type here: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en - ...

I have a T430 with 16GB (2 x 8GB sticks) of DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) RAM. Looking to upgrade to a T450 or T460 and would like to swap in the RAM from my T430. Is this RAM compatible with the T450 and T460 series?

QHD is not 4K. According to the Tabook, the T430s supports up to 2560x1600 through the mini-DisplayPort, but not through DVI on the dock (the DVI is limited to 1920x1200 as it is single-channel).
Thanks!

Get the Serial Number, put that in here (without a dash)
and check "By Product info".
Thanks for the link. OK, so we now need serial numbers to look up a configuration?

I'm used to the old method, where the machine type was all you needed to see the specs.

Re: Does it make sense to use mSATA SSD for data partition?

The problem is that you should use the 120gb for the OS and data because 32gb for the os will give you problems because you will have to install programs on the data drive which will lead to many problems down the road.(ask me how I know...) Re: Does it make sense to use mSATA SSD for data partition?

For a 120gb ssd it makes no sense for me to do that. It would make more sense if you were going to encrypt the second partition with a password for backup but at that point just put in a second drive. You should try going with a WD Black2 (Squared) which has a 120gb ssd and 1tb hdd in a 2.5" packag...

After a fresh install, I install several must-have apps and then image the operating system partition.

When the computer starts feeling sluggish, which is inevitable on Windows systems, I'll restore the image and install whatever apps I need that aren't already baked into the image.
