FS: T60 14.1" 2GHz, 2GB, X1400 (2007-63U) Australia

Hey guys My TP is for sale (cause I have upgraded to a Macbook Pro, heh). 14.1" SXGA+ (1400x1050), no dead pixels, immaculate condition, + you get some Waterfield bags with it for free. It still has 1 year warranty. I bought it from Euclid in the US and had it shipped to Aus. It is on eBay here , I ...

Re: X3100 vs Nvidia

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-X2000.2176.0.html From what I can tell, they seem to claim that the X3100 GPU is way better than the ATI V5200 FireGL according to the 3DMark03 performance. It's a misprint. [ EDIT : Well, not a misprint, it is just misleading. The numbe...

Hey moderators: Why did you move my message from the T6x to the Marketplace forum? I wasn't actually trying to sell something, I was just pointing out that the web price for a T60 was AU$1,000,000 which is obviously a typo. Can we leave this in the T6x forum or at least the Thinkpad General forum? T...

Have you got any figures to support those claims astro? I'm not disputing that there's probably a difference there, but so vast? The differences in battery life between the variants is well-documented on this forum. To dig something up, darrenf was one of the first to point out the poor battery per...

Why does Santa Rosa eat so much power? Is it the 800 MHz FSB or what? Is it ALL because of the GPU? There are a LOT of transistors on the new core 2 duos (4 MB of cache!). GPU also contributes. The battery life of <2 hrs on the small battery MAKES SENSE to me. It is mostly driven by the graphics ca...

Thanks -- good to know that I'm not the only one, and a word of warning to others: the T60 may not supply enough power for some USB devices (and no, there was no warning that the limit had been reached).

SanDisk Micromate not compatible with T60?

I bought one of these SanDisk MicroMate USB SD card readers: http://www.sandisk.com/Products/Item(2018)-SDDR-113-MicroMate_for_SDHC.aspx with a regular 2GB SanDisk SD card included. I have noticed that it corrupts some files when copying to it from the T60. This manifests in two ways: Single large f...

Mine has this too. 2007-63U with Samsung 14" SXGA.
I also have another T60 with TMD 14" SXGA. It doesn't have the problem.

I only noticed when I read this post -- I expect that it would be insignificant to most people. But hey, if it bothers you, you could try get it fixed or do it yourself.

Re: +ve comments about build quality New T60 Vs my Aug 06 T6

I have a April '06 2007-63U (as per my sig) and work just gave me a new 1951-XXX. I'll compare my differences with yours: 1. The new machine is a rock, as always. The keyboard seems to be like the old NMB ones (which surprised me a lot), with a fantastic response and great travel almost close to my ...

Screen Redraw/Rendering Issues

Hey everyone, been a while since I been on. One thing that has been happening ever since I got my T60 (2007-63U, Duo 2.0GHz, Radeon X1400, 1400x1050) is that sometimes when there is a diagram showing on the screen (e.g. Word, Visio, PowerPoint diagrams) the screen flickers when it redraws and consum...

There has already been some quite detailed discussion on this forum about the Advanced Dock, including benchmark figures. Try doing a search. You're right.

If you have already made the R&R CD + DVD, then this file is only the ISO for the CD part of the pair.

Ethernet port is supposed to power down when on battery. Just plug in the ethernet cable and it will wake up.

If it is really annoying, you can disable through the device manager I think. It is called "Deep Power Down" or something.

This is an image of the IBM ThinkVantage Rescue & Recovery boot CD.
