LCD Scratch Remover?

A friend of mine said he used some kind of scratch remover polish on his T22 last month and now the scratches are gone. However, he doesn't remember what he used. Does anyone here have any recommendations?

*nod* I'd prefer to stick a card in and never remove it. With that solution, I'd still have to remove something. Actually, I got a great deal on the T30; I may sell it and upgrade to a T4x to bypass this whole deal...

WTB: 802.11g Mini-PCI card

Edit: Bought 2.

Brand doesn't matter too much; just trying to keep it cheap.

Flush USB 2.0 PCMCIA card?

Does anyone know of a PCMCIA card offering flush mounted USB 2.0 ports? For example, I used to have a Xircom PCMCIA LAN/modem combo card for my old Thinkpad 600e to add the necessary data ports without a ridiculous bulge on the side of the machine. I'd prefer a similar solution for USB 2.0 on my T30.

Re: Ok this forum is getting large!

I had the same question. I think I found the answer.

The SL53S is a 495 pin chip. There are no PIII's beyond 1.0GHz with the same number of pins. Thus, no fit.

LCD upgrade?

I bought a Thinkpad T22 with a standard XGA (1024x768) LCD. Next week, I may have a Dell Inspiron 8100 with an SXGA+ (1400x1050) LCD that I'll turn around and sell. Assuming the LCDs are the same size, can I simply swap the them? Are the connectors standardized, and do the power requirements differ ...

Ah, that's sort of what I expected. Thanks for the help :)

At least the chip was free.

Are you absolutely positive it is a Celeron 400 Mhz? This is the exact model . 66MHz FSB. I have the 32mb onboard RAM + 2x128mb PC100. I removed the extra RAM and that changed nothing. It gives me no error codes...I thought the L2 cache error would create an 'error 127' message. I'll mess with it a...

600e won't boot with Celeron 400

My ThinkPad 600e (2645-55U) has a PII 300 MHz CPU. I have a mobile Celeron 400 MHz MMC-2 CPU and I tried installing it tonight. When I turned the laptop on, at first I thought the install was successful. The screen turned on and displayed the correct amount of RAM with "IBM" in the top right corner ...

. . . you might as well just buy a PIII and try it out for yourself. It's very easy to do the swap and if it doesn't work, you can always just sell the item on ebay to another person. I've taken apart one laptop (a Compaq Presario K6-2 based machine). Last night I read through IBM's 600/600e/600x m...

I've been researching and there's really not much documentation on this... One of the BIOS updates for the following Thinkpad 600e models notes support for 256MB memory modules: 2645 - 3xx, 4xx, 5Ax, 5Bx, 5Jx, 8xx, AAU, ABU, ALx, AMx, BAU, Cxx, Dxx, Exx, Fxx, Gxx, Ixx, JJ3, Mxx, Nxx, Pxx, RP1, RRx (...
