Connect a usb hub to the USB port Don't you read the posts? I knew that. But my problem right now is that I have to run such programs on this PC that I am using to post on here. This PC has only ONE USB port. Therefore, I cannot connect both the source and destination drives (Thinkpad HDD and Extern...

Re: ultrabay battery lost 60% overnight???

I had a ultrabay battery that died within the first year, that was a while ago on the prior t60, so don't recall the cycle count.

Get it replaced, it should have a one year warranty on it.

I have the diamond bvu195, which converts usb to dvi, and then just using a standard dvi monitor. All this is based off displaylink technology. This is the same concept, except moves the usb to dvi logic from the monitor to separate box, which I think gives more options as the components aren't all ...

plus +1 on using usb/dvi adapter.

I'm using the Diamond BVU195 HD USB Display Adapter just fine connected to my dock. Use main monitor for games, and this for secondary information, like spreadsheets, browser, mail, etc.

You can try vinyl. You can go to a sign store/shop and see if they can make it up for you. It's tacky to stay on, but you will be able to remove it latter. Lot of race cars use this on their cars, since they can use the same car, and just peel off last week's sponsor and put on this week, all withou...

I would just set up one machine to be a primary and have all your accessories, monitors keypad, mouse connected to that. Then you can use rdp (or vnc) to connect to your other machines. In my case I have a w700 with 3 monitors (dvi, display port, USB). Then I use remote desktop to connect to any of ...

The other 2 dimms are under the keyboard. Check the hardware maintenance manual for instructions to getting to these, page 111,

Matrox dual or triple head 2go's are available with displayport input and outputs as well as dvi output. Or you can use some adapter on the outputs for whatever your monitor needs. You need to verify that your video gpu is supported.

See http://blogs.technet.com/markrussinovic ... 91024.aspx to why sid uniqueness is a myth.

Also you can have one image and then use norton ghost deployanywhere with the additional drivers, which does the sysprep step plus insert the missing drivers into your common image.

If you have a spare usb port, you can just get a bluetooth usb dongle. Some of them are pretty small and barely stick out, or there are other ones that have 100m range on them.

Look at the back of your t60, near the hinges, there should be a screw on each side of the machine, one for each hinge. You can use a screwdriver and tighten those up. Those are the screws that attach the hinge to your machines base.

When you performed the clone to the ssd, was it in located in the main bay? I haven't tried this but I believe either option is viable if both drives are sata based. But I would question the logic of either setup. For raid mirroring you would be stuck at using the lowest disk drive capacity, 128GB, and then you would also be stuck at using the lowest drive performance, sinc...
