Re: screen door effect on W530 display
OK, so here's what I think I've been able to surmise after spending some time on the phone and on the Lenovo support site: The wonderful T510 LCD panel part number is 42T0765. Lenovo is out of stock, but would charge $1924 if they were available. The W530 (screen door) panel part number is 04W1544. ...

Re: screen door effect on W530 display
Thank you for your reply. I haven't tried loading the color profile form the T510, but can't imagine the color profile would help with this particular issue. The colors themselves are not problematic and I can see the screen door effect in all except very dark colors. I'm thinking I may call Lenovo ...

screen door effect on W530 display
I recently got a new W530. I'm mostly happy with it. Even adjusting to the new keyboard, with the exception of some of the bewildering key placement. I am distressed by the horrible screen door effect on the built-in LCD panel, however. I am coming from a T510. The screen on the T510 is gorgeous. I ...

Re: Max screens on "Mini Dock Plus Series 3 w/ USB 3.0" + W530?
First, just want to confirm that the dock can drive a third independent display from the VGA port. It is analog, though, so it is not quite as crisp so. Therefore, I don't consider that a great option. Not sure what you mean by reduced blanking settings. Where would that be? I did try to define a cu...

Re: Max screens on "Mini Dock Plus Series 3 w/ USB 3.0" + W530?
I have tried daisy-chaining two Dell U2413 monitors attached to a DisplayPort connection on this dock (with W530 docked). It works to a degree, but not to an acceptable degree for my purposes. One of the displays will allow full native resolution of 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz. However, the other one will o...

Re: Poor audio from Series 3 Advanced Mini Dock Plus
I have the same issue. I also solved it for now by using a USB audio card - thanks to chazas for the suggestion. This is annoying though. I expect better engineering on these products. My guess is that the audio out circuit on the dock is not shielded well enough and is picking up electrical noise, ...

Re: Win 7 RC - Sleep/suspend problem
I just upgrade from Vista 32 to Win 7 32 RTM on my T61 (8891-CTO, IIRC). Everything else seems to be working fine, but sleep / suspend does not work properly. When plugged in on AC power, the screen will go blank but the computer never actually goes into suspend. Moving the mouse will turn the scree...

fixed mine too
I had a similar problem with Access Connections not being able to power the wireless card on/off. It was not able to report status of the signal and showed an incorrect MAC address for the card. Deleting this stray DLL seems to have fixed the problem. I never would have found this on my own, so than...
